Yay or nay on grille?

That looks awesome, where'd you get it?

On another note, today I began teardown so I can install my new head.
Will be ported and polished, vtcs will be removed, IM p&p, all new gaskets...
Should be good.

Yum. What shrouds are on the projectors? Your setup looks more OEM than mine! The black mirrors are subtle, yet they match the grill so it looks nice :)

Ripped off the plastidip on the car, planning to either wrap it in a gloss white with silver and blue pearls
or do the same color with plastidip.

Got a free oil change (sans the new oil part) courtesy of a 3" drop off in the road in a part of town they are completely re-doing and I don't go there often ... My AWR oil pan is now vented ...

That sucks, I feel your pain, I remember driving my previous lowered car on the highway and drove over a bridge section that had a nice chunk of metal sticking up...made a nice sound as it struck my header pipe and completely tore it apart. Hope the repairs go well and without an major complications!!

installed TWM short shifter and polyurethane bushings
in the process I cut off the heat shield on the exhaust..
anybody see this being a problem?

No problem at all, I took mine off when I put on my TWM shifter as well and ran it for 3 years no problems.

this is very reassuring. thanks! mine scraped even after I cut it and it was resting on the top of the resonator..
I really like the short shifter, never used one before. it has a unique sound when I shift. gonna grease the poly urethane bushings tomorrow since I realized I forgot to..

Wash, clay bar, and waxed the old girl. Looking good! For those of you that have never used the clay bar, you need to. What a difference.

Took my door panel off yesterday to find out my window regulator broke.

There's your problem right there:

Cheap plastic once again from Mazda. If you're regulator ever goes out and you can afford to wait a couple days, order online. A new front DS regulator w/motor from AAP/AutoZone cost $120, but I got mine from Amazon for $66... glad I looked around first.
