What have you done to your P5 today?

Put a new set of Poly shifter bushings in from ebay (20 bucks and it's niiiiiiiice!) and a new 20 dollar shift boot (black with blue stitching).

took her for a drive and the shifting is like shifting a new car again.....it's extremely tight and very much what I was looking for.

Next in the near future: short shifter, build a FSB/RSB set (should be interesting), finish collecting parts for the boost setup and get it installed/tuned, paint, finish wheels, get a mandrel bent 3" exhaust, etc, etc.....the list goes on and on. I could easily see myself dumping 10k in this build....but I'd have to draw the line at some point.

installed new cx-6 antenna and my headunit just went blank and hazards dont work (blinkers still work) i replaced the fuses but still didnt work so i disconnected the battery for a few hours while i checked on here for a solution. connected the battery again and radio works but hazards dont. im guessing its the actual button but im gonna see if the radio goes out again. any advice is welcome :D

lol, I don't see how replacing an antenna could cause that kind of problem, it's a coincidence.

Where the fuses that you replaced popped?

Looking at the schematic, the radio and flasher systems are on two different circuits and don't share any fuses or grounds. Are you using an aftermarket headunit? If so, was it installed using an adapter harness or were the original wires spliced into?

Finally got around to finishing up the plastidip on the car and fixed the front lip.
Also gonna change it up and do my roof black as well as the side mirrors.

Wow! Did you change the your p5 to white!? I mean, white is a nice color but I love laser blue. The front end setup is what exactly I wish for. Love the lights too.

haha Thanks Chico! I loved the laser blue too, but I wasn't up for paying about 3800 USD before taxes to get the car resprayed blue.
The clearcoat on the roof and doors and trunk were just destroyed from the Texas heat.
So i went with this route. But I'm amazed at the results. But i plan to pick up the Subaru BRZ in 2 years!

Yeah I didn't word it right I know it wasn't because of the antenna that's just what I did to the car but that just randomly happened and it does have an aftermarket head unit that I'm gonna check out when I can to see if the connections are done right and I thought it odd that they both didn't work all of the sudden. But no fuses were fine I went ahead and replaced them any ways but so far the radio hasn't gone out again

you can get new Depo lights off Ebay for $96 shipped in chrome or $116 for blacked out

yeah I want to get those and have them retro. not msp but regular sedan ones to go along my full sedan front end on the p5

easy install - pull the nut - pop off the bar - push out the old rubber bush, pop in the new ones (1 from each side), reassemble, enjoy sturdy feeling in shifter.

..done..

Things I changed on my P5: RX8 wheels 215/35/18 Falkens, Kenwood BT Media HU, Apline power pak for Polk Audio comps F/R doors, Kicker 500W Mono amp paired with 12" Kicker Comp Sub enclosure, Eiback Pro-kit springs, Injen coldair intake, LED interior lights, LED rear plate lights, HL retro-fit Morimoto H1 ver5 HID projectors 6k bulbs, Honda S2000 antenna and removed roof rack and installed covers. Bought the car new 09/2001, auto trans with moonroof. Also had to get a new motor early last month...water pump seized 4 years ago and happened again in 08/2012, my mech said that the motor is no longer good since it got damaged a bit the first time the water pump seized. Forgot to mention...upgraded to Mazda 6 hatchback rear window wiper; painted brakes calipers RED; slotted and drilled F/R rotors and mazdaspeed rear exhaust....

Since I just replaced my motor....want to add more HP but not adding a turbo kit and not doing anything with my new OEM motor....any suggestions out there?

Thinking in the line of the exhaust system from manifold/catback pipe(s) area....is it really worth changing it to aftermarket and still keep my MSP muffler?
