There is no wax on MP5T
you don't really think mazda would give us leaves as OEM part do you! i've seen this car in person, it's custom OH style!
Pretty sweet, not trying to copy him, but going to check a local hyrdodip shop and get a quote on a rust/leaf/crap covered VC.
Joking aside, I feel so bad for people in the rust belt. All I can say is I'm very happy and lucky to be rust free

Heh. Yeah. People always used to ask me why I never got any of it fixed. Reason, it was always going to cost more than the car was worth. I bought the car to get me away from my ex. Long story. I ended up meeting people, found the Mazda scene at the time to be pretty damn cool, and the people I met from all over the country were awesome. I never really modded that car much other than when something broke and needed to be fixed. It's served it's purpose, has a decent number of miles on it. It's ready to be put to pasture.
I understand completely. Sometimes I question whether it was wise modding the car I have. My P5 was in a head on collision before I bought it. A lot of it was fixed before I got it, but I'm still finding things to repair and replace. I would have saved a lot of money modding one with no accident history, but too late now. It's smart to weight these things out before becoming time/money committed. In some cases as my own, there was no way of seeing this damage without becoming obsessed with the car and looking deeper into things and having a better understanding of my car and it's parts.
I'm still baffled at how little rust my car has. Small spots on the rear wheel wells and one behind the "Protege5" emblem on the back, but nothing all the way through and nothing through the paint.... yet. However, I think this winter will prove me wrong.

5th time pulling this tranny swapped in a new clutch and in neutral my rpms hover about 2k push in the clutch and rpms are normal again. My old clutch was chattering toward the end so I had to raise the pedal a bit to allow a little more disengagement or it would bog the motor on occassion. I brought the pedal back to normal and every other position and still WTF! I had to resolder a wire to the sensor on the front of the tranny... thinking maybe thats the neutral safety switch and didn't get a good enough solder joint.
Sensor on the front of the tranny is the backup switch, nuetral switch is on the backside under the speedo connection for those without abs just fyi

The High Idle would also be a vac leak..

But depress the clutch about halfway to all the way and idle returns to normal. I have a slight amount of play in the slave to the clutch release fork but from the inside it seems I have all the slack out. Maybe not enough to going to bleed a little and be sure there isn't any slop with a second pair of eyes in the bay.

Been building this over the last couple weeks been away quite a bit not 100 percent done but running it until I have the time to finish it.
I also have a sub box I built to go with it smaller than the one in it now but not sure if I like it as much as the old one.

So, on Saturday I got to work with a couple of friends to lower the P5 on some Tokico ILK Strut/Spring setup, plus the Moog 02 Ford Escape Endlinks. About an hour in a rain storm rolled in and we ended up having to work through it in the rain. Ran into 1 major snag trying to get the driver side front endlink off. Ended up grinding it all the way down to the sway bar and knocking it through with a air chisle. I already love how it feels and it looks amazing. Maybe some larger rims and wheels next.
Oh man I have the same wheels, looks good though.

Neutral safety switch plug wasn't quite plugged in all the way 
Sidenote I can wiggle my clutch release fork a little and all the sudden have a lifeless pedal... no leaks anywhere! Gonna start small with the slave cylinder possibly

i love that app! too bad the results always make me sad
It's called "Torque." I love it! It should be compatible with just about any Bluetooth OBDII device... even the cheap ones. As for the app, don't even bother with the free version. It's less than bare minimum. Spend the $4.99 and unlock all of the features.
I'm still working out the settings to get my MPG on par with my calculations.
