What have you done to your P5 today?

It's been said not to boost the high compression fs ze or you end up with zoom zoom boom. I've also heard instead of taking all the time doing a motor swap and the additional work required in swapping for the high compression motor just to get 49hp, your time is better spent boosting your car

Or a KL. Rico, you mentioned there is a OBD2 626 near you, get that KLG4. ;)

yeah or to just get pistons. and the IM. and cams

go ahead and forge your motor. It will be costly, but the motor itself will be a beast. If the rest of your cars dies, you could still sale that motor

if your going to do all that.. buy a junk yard fsde and build it properly with the money you can save from not buying the fsze.. there is a reason that motor is not a simple drop in swap and not many people have done it. IIRC there are more KL swapped cars the fsze swapped cars

exactly what I been telling my self this morning. atleast a block to start off with

first i think ill finish my suspension and new wheels along with new retrofits and finish the interior tho.

If it's the ZE that I'm thinking of, it comes with the ECU right? That's the biggest pain when doing a ZE swap... no easy engine management solution outside of a costly standalone.

yes with the ecu. but whatever I do big on the car WHEN I do lol ill be getting a standalone

+1 hopefully the carbon fibber days will go away just like all the other fads and the real stuff will come back..

and washed the P5 today, had a crazy amount of sand to remove under the car as well as in the fenders..

What's the advantage of real CF overlay vs Di-Noc? Nothing for interior pieces. The Di-Noc is more versatile and easier to apply/remove. It definitely looks/feels better than the water-print CF that comes in the P5 stock radio cluster, IMO. Unless you are completely replacing pieces with CF parts, then I don't see any advantage to using CF over Di-Noc.

I did my interior pieces in Di-Noc just because I want to get rid of all the silver, and painting high-wear pieces is a recipe for disaster. I wish I could figure out how to remove the door handle from the "cup" so that I could wrap or paint that.

grcy_gttr - Your wrap could have been done better, but the door handle is one of the hardest parts to wrap because of the complex contours.

I agree about the high-wear interior pieces being done in di-noc or other vinyls, its still not my taste but hell i have blue suede in my interior.. IMO Di-noc does not belong on the outside of a car.

so looks like ill be back on the evo wheels I liked and most people around here did too

exactly. If you want a pretty interior, go for it. I would never put a cf vinyl over a stock hood though. I want to cover my center console with vinyl like Circuit's. I do have the real CF DG glovebox cover. It looks amazing and I'm afraid the vinyl will fail in comparison. I don't want the DG radio cover though since it's a stick on piece and it will make the radio stick out that much further.

Someday I'll have a clean MX-6 with a KL as well. Then I'll call it quits with the Milly, P5 and MX-6. :D
