got my brembo blanks in the mail today, took off the red rubber on the gauge cluster lights making it noticeably brighter, fixed my flickering headlight by simply jiggling the connection (i hope that lasts), and replaced the rear mazda emblem with something that looks similar but much different. what do you think? (and dont say 'i think you should wash your car')

Just curious, was that price for everything or did you supply parts?? I'm almost positive that I have this issue as well.

See: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123718385-Has-Anyone-Had-Their-Fuel-Pump-Cover-Leak

If you order everything from OMP it'll cost you just shy of $120. I'm guessing the garage was able to do it so cheap by only replacing the fuel pump body and the gasket with non-OEM parts (which would cost you a big $40 shipped from rockauto).

which ones did you order cheese? looks like a dealer trip as well as parts store trip for me Monday.

I got the OEM stuff because I don't trust the Beck/Arnley brand. But that's just my prejudice, others in the thread I linked to successfully used that part.

You should be aware that most parts stores only sell the pump body and the gasket, the service manual says you should also replace the high-pressure side "o-ring" (it's not a typical o-ring, it's funky-looking) as well as the "washer" (it's not really a washer :P) which holds the low-pressure side fuel filter onto the pump. At the same time most people opt to replace the metal plate that holds the pump body to the fuel tank because you can spend $14 for a new one instead of having to grind-down and repaint the old one.

You local Mazda dealer probably won't have any of this stuff in stock, you might want to call ahead and just give them the part numbers listed in that thread I linked to.

EDIT: Get new screws too! They're M4 and roughly 1cm long, you can get longer but you'll have to cut them to fit.
