What have you done to your P5 today?

yes, my 3 was a manual.. the P5 i'm picking up today will be an auto with manumatic option so i can already sense it being slow. But i've grown out of my manual days so this will be a perfect compromise between that :) Will post pictures soon!

The manual is definitely quicker, but the auto with tiptronics is still fun at higher speeds and higher RPMs (once you get there). You will also save on tires because you can't really launch. Tires rarely spin in mine. It would be really nice if they would have added a fifth gear. They have a fourth with overdrive and it sounds poopy when the overdrive kicks in because its like a half ass gear.

my lower cat is rattling. not sure if it needs to be replaced or what. car was too hot to get near really but when I push against it wth a stick with a fair amount of force, it shuts up.

Snapped my fronT PASSENGER ENDLINK while driving home front work...
Going to autozone and pick up new endlinks in the morning

I like the look of the plasti-dipped center console. I've thought about doing both that piece and the stereo surround (since I scratched the hell out of it getting the stock head unit out). Did you take it apart (take the cupholder lid off) before spraying it?

Needed replacement since i put GC coils on it but always put it off for another day. Now its a must....

JDM_PRO5: I like the look of that plasti dip! Looks great! And I'm diggin the Crown Royal shift boot. Everything looks clean, now you just need a better camera (and so do I!) Anyway, here's my current interior setup-

First of all, thank you for all your kind comments. I've decided to keep a clean look overall. I really like uniqueness and small detail so I need to make sure I don't get carried away and rice out :D
Secondly, my wife is a photographer and has nice camera stuff, however those pictures are from my cell phone and I took them on my lunch break lol.

with the cupholder closed I sprayed the top and sides. I used a plastic bag to wrap up the back piece where the fabric is attached. After that dried, I opened the cup holder, wrapped off the rest of the center console and sprayed the inside of the cup holder door. I didn't want to take the door completely off because I knew somehow I would mess the spring up lol.

i definitely need to plasti-dip my valence now after seeing these. black paint just isn't enough anymore
I debated forever about doing it. I really like gunmetal as an accent color for the Midnight blue and I didn't want to mix black into my color scheme. However, after seeing this on Justanothermp5's Midnight blue protege, I knew it was the right choice. Plastidip is amazing and doesn't look spotty like other rattle-can paint does. It dries with a nice, even coat.

That looks nice, I took off mine like that and swapped to the other one. I covered it in CF Di-Noc, I preferred the open one the other one with the flap is collecting dust. lol

JDM Pro5, looks great, I think I am going to copy you sir. What else have you done in the plasti-dip adventures? :)

Thank you sir. I recently plastidipped my center console. I'm going to do some parts on my guitar such as the volume knobs and perhaps a large square on the back so it reduces buckle rash

You may copy me as I have copied many others. I am far from the first person to do this. Let's start a trend :D

As soon as I get the exhaust and engine mounts sorted, I'll definitely join the trend. The rear valence and center console both look great!

jdm pro5, your sig is freaking huge. Mind toning it down a bit? I've just got this little laptop and my screen is your sig. haha

Ive been having fun with the boost on the p5, turned it up to 9-10 psi. Iv'e been having some bad tire hop and had a loud bang the other day while racing from a dig, and decided to check it out today while I did my mazda 6 brakes.

and those are two different mounting points, 2 of 3 are broken :(

drove up a mountain to take some pics

i might have to join the plasti-dip trend as well seeing it on other midnight blue's. JDM, i will def be doing my center console now that i saw yours cept mine is an autotragic. i might go as far as dipping all the tan interior parts to darken it up a bit.

What else have you done in the plasti-dip adventures? :)

I made myself a Plastidip hood bra

It's started to show some signs of wear, but I did apply it in 40 degree weather when you're supposed to do it in like 70 degree weather... so I guess I'll try it again this spring and see if it holds up longer.
