What have you done to your P5 today?

well for starters, stay away from ebay crap. haha

+1 Are you using an impact wrench? Are you hand tightening them first? I've never broken a lug bolt before. I wonder if your lug nuts are seated against your wheel correctly putting strain on the bolt or something?

In other news, apparently I paid off my P5. I got a refund check in the mail for $83 from First Merit Bank. I called to double check and she said I have a $0.00 balance. Woo-hoo! I've been paying $300 a month instead of my $225 and simply over paid the last month. Nice!

Yup, hand tightening them first, no impact wrench. I mean, it's only happening on this car, never happened on my Integra or Camry. I do mostly everything myself to all my cars and for some reason I have bolts snapping off on the P5. How can I check to see if the lugs are seated correctly?

You would know if your wheel wasn't seated properly, putting added stress on the lugs. In the future, don't cheap out on load bearing parts. ;)

what's the proper torque for spark plugs again? I had it at one point and forgot.

Never used a torque wrench on spark plugs. They don't need to be all that tight, tho. (shrug)

Ok I just gotta check and make sure they're tight.

Oh and if you guys haven't gotten in on the KMR suspension group buy, you need to. We're about to hit another discount bracket and it's insane.

UPDATE: The company revised the v-brace to fit on north american models with absolutely no modification!!

Sooo true...can't wait...even though I wasn't going to order, it is INSANE not to with the pricing...I highly doubt something like this will come again...

Yea and honestly the stuff is basically GT Spec stuff rebranded and a different color. I cannot believe I'm about to walk away with three underbody braces for around 300 bucks. It's insane

Really wasn't being cheap with the lug nuts, I purchased what I could afford at the time. I mean, could lug nuts really affect how the rim sits? They sit fine, even with the eBay lugs. I figured the cause was another problem, not just the lugs.

The fact that the lugs are shearing off as you try to remove them, should be proof enough that they were cheap. Just saying... (shrug)

BTW, you're from Aiken? I was just in Augusta last week...

And you didn't PM me...I would of driven down...lol...

It was an odd week with the family. Didn't drive down, so I basically did nothing but sit around with my family for 5 days straight... Words cannot describe it.

How far of a drive from is it to Augusta from Greer?
