What have you done to your P5 today?

Whoever did that crappy job needs a severe boot in the arse, Bondo should only be used in a light skim to fill imperfections. Incidently the lip doesn't look to be a very good fit.
Pat.

correct^
too much bondo will crack, if there was already a crack in the lip it should have been heated and new urethane/plastic been melted in
then a little bit of bondo/body filler over that just to smooth it out

thats how i learned how to do it in my paint shop class anyways, im sure there are different methods

yea no problem

not too many body shops do a good job anymore for some reason
body filler is good stuff to use, i used it on my front bumper to fill the little divets for the license plate and u cant even tell they were ever there
most places just use too much though, did the shop that painted that do the bondo work too?

just to paint the lip? dam, that sounds expensive to me lol

paint=25 max (1/2 pint)
clear=another 30
bondo used=maybe 10 bucks
primer= 15

total minus labor would be 80 bucks, so they charged 90 bucks for labor
i guess thats not too bad

from what ive heard around here in dallas from alot of enthusiasts is that my price was uber cheap.
alot of guys got their parts painted for atleast 200-250..

Damn, that sucks, even though there isn't any snow here that is a good reason to just get the MP3 splitter as it won't get scratched or broken.

yea or get the mazdaspeed front lip with the jdp splitter :D

dxaveP5 ---- u should get the HD lip again and sell that. I will never spend the money on a lip. It is too close to the ground and so much could happen to it. Take your unfortunate event . Sorry man.

LOL, even with the risks, I'm still gonna get a JDP splitter, it'll probably be a hole inch off the ground. :D
