What have you done to your P5 today?

didn't get my car today, still installing the motor, but, i got a question

^ is that head in good shape?

I know I have leaking stem seals, maybe a new head would do the trick, or do it enough to pass it off to someone else without the expense of a new engine...

leaky valve stem seals = new engine? wtf? Just spend the couple hundred bucks on stem seals and get them replaced.

Engine has 226,xxx on it, I'm sure the issue is part Rings, part Valve Stem Seals. She overheated yesterday, I don't think long enough to have warped the head or blown the head gasket, but only time will tell...

ty- AWESOME!...why is everything sitting in the oil pan...scratching shyt up!!!

only one scratch visible, other than that you're good

as to the head, it spun the no. 2 rod bearing, so, not sure if it negatively affected it.

The motor never went boom though

oh, hadn't started. poured a rather large jack and coke, so, my heads kinda spinnin at the moment.

I don't even know where to start....

lol k well ill help u out then, flip the motor over so the part that bolts to the head is on the ground or a towel, w/e
then just start loosening the rod bolts on1 rod at a time, once u got it loose, since ur not reusing them u can just take a hammer and hit on the top of the bolts till it starts to move down towards the ground, flip the engine side ways and guide the piston out like a baby out the vajay lol
do the same with the other 3 then loosen the main caps take the crank out and weigh it so i can get an estimate :)

Figured I'd take a pic of all the s*** that's accumulated for the install. Just took a general pic. The last pics show you one of the many downfalls of having an auto. 7.8 L of ATF :(. I bought 10 to be safe even though I'm sure I won't use at least two of those quarts. $85 for the 10 quarts. First pic is the new oil cap that came in yesterday :D
