What have you done to your P5 today?

would it work if i just change the bulb? the company i got it from sends replacement bulbs... i could ask for a H4 instead of a H7

or order a set of H4 HIDs, the headlight wire connects to the ballast

umm im not sure if the h4 bulbs use the same connectors as the h7 bulbs,
u could try it, im actually wondering the same thing, my brother left his stock sedan headlights over here when he went to college so i should be able to order h4 replacements for my hids and have them work...hopefully

u try first lol

i dont have any at my disposal, unlike you... cheap bulbs from walmart, autozone or discount would work... if those bulbs work... then HiDs would have to

ahhh damit lol ok i guess i could try, buy some cheap ass bulbs and see if they plug in and if they work in the headlight right?

but what would we do with our highbeams? i never use mine because i have hids so i guess we could just take the bulb off?

same here... but the sedan headlights dont have the extra slot for high beams..

what im trying to pull of is using the MSP headlights on a P5... if the H7 bulbs can fit in a MSP headlight then i'm set...

ok so i just checked, h4 bulbs fit the p5 white plastic thing that the hids 2 wires plug into, the lights turn on too

now i just have to take off my bumper, put the sedan headlights in and see if the h7 bulbs fit
i mounted my HID ballasts to the inside of the fender wall and i dont have enough wire to pull the bulb out and put it inside the headlight

if it works ill take plenty of pictures and post up a How to: put sedan headlights in a p5

this is what i did

Hey TreFlip999,
looks good, but my .02 cents wouldd be to get the CF mirror covers or paint ur mirrors black to keep the window area BLACK...keep up the good work

treflip.. wow just wow. jealous over here... i think he got the lip painted black to. i like it.. ALOT

edit- thought id give my .02 as well. i think you should paint the rear valence black and tint the tail's...just a little tho.. otherwise the back is all yellow..needs a lil black.

i'll be the co-writer

anywho...

my battery light just came on and i went to SEARS, because it was conveniently there, they said my alternator is not charging the battery and that i'm running on pure battery... since 6:45pm ive had only 8 hours of battery life until it dies...

the countdown begins...

but before all this, i converted my CAI to a SRI because i'm in the middle of tropical storm Fay, and my bumper is off... so air is hitting the intake... but not anymore...

is it me or does the car accelerate faster with the short ram? i saw a puddle when i was test driving it and said: "f*k you, puddle!" and i ran over it without fear

and since i drove it like the way i did, i prolly have 4 hours left on my battery

Tre, I would at least paint the upper part of the lip body color. I think it'd make the colors flow better. That and I would have left the badges or gone with a 323F badge (I have one :D). Other than that it looks great. Now was that really all done in one day (wink)

EDIT: By the way, today I finally completely removed the exhaust manifold and turbo and switched the turbo over to the MAM manifold. I also got around to removing my crappy stock tapped oil pan and I switched the stock sparkplug wires back in. In preparation for my new oil pan I also installed a new threaded oil return fitting on the turbo. I spent the last hour or so hacking up the wiring loom for the O2 sensors so I can re-route the primary O2 sensor connection to the other side of the block. I'm probably going to do a little wire tucking tomorrow as well just to clean things out

Agenda for tomorrow: finish wiring up gauges, finish O2 sensor wire relocation, initial wire tuck around water neck

If I get my oil pan in tomorrow that will also be going in and then I'll be making a trip to see ol' ForceFed about some exhaust mani studs. If all goes well I could actually have the car up and running Sunday. More than likely it's going to be another week though...
