What have you done to your P5 today?

tried to rotate my tires...is there a secret to getting the rear tires off? the front came off fine but the rear (passenger) wouldnt budge. all nuts were off. so i didnt even bother w/ the driver's side. :(

a swift kick worked for me when my rims were stuck last winter. (dunno)

gotta put some muscle into it

when we did my friend's civic's suspension (he just moved down from WI), it took getting under the car and kicking them off from the inside to get them to budge...

Rust ftl

i did. i pulled and the car was rocking on the jackstands. the front came right off but it seemed like the back wouldnt budge... i yanked on it hard too. idk

was this just the rear or front also? my front (at least driver's side) came right off.

i dont think i'd be comfortable kicking something while under the car... lol :(

why does it matter which end of the car? lol

From memory, they were the rears, but the fronts weren't exactly easy. If you've got the thing up on jackstands completely, do what you want to it lol

i just did one side at a time. but maybe i'll break the nuts lose and jack it all up... and then kick away

you can kick it from the outside of the car. all you need to do is kick it hard enough to break that rust bond. Once it's free you can pull it off.

hmm checked to see where i'm leaking coolant. couldnt find the leak but i noticed that i've got dried up coolant on the little space right where the radiator cap is. could that be my leak?

stock struts?

yea, for now... i figure that unless i'm going to be racing it, stock struts are ok. the drop is great though. maybe by next summer i'll have the $ for something, we'll see.

I had the same problem when i tried to rotate my old rims. i hit/nudged/bashed/pulled/kicked the back tire with all the lug nuts off and i got nothing.

i'll try that. i am thinkin about painting my wheels too, hopefully this month, just gotta find the time. i'll be doing black, do you think these would look good or stick to chrome?

i think it fits the p5 as well, same threading i believe

how do you find out the threading? cause i need black lug nuts exactly like that

Stock P5 wheels? Yeah those fuse really well in the rear - even in Cali. Rubber mallet from the inside hitting outward will free them up, but a kick should work as well ...

A wooden bat works also....from the inside of course. My rear tires were a b**tch to get off as well when I changed my brakes.
