Not to detract from Chris' cool photos, going back to my new shifter...

I noticed three things: Shifts smoother due to increased mass of shift knob, throws shorter due to reduced shift rod height, and finally, gear whine is now audible particularly in 5th. Did I torque the linkage under the car too hard?

I have the same thing with the noise. It seems to lessen over time...did you do new bushings as well?

can someone spot me $800?

Just get pads.. the stock brakes are good. Maybe for high speed road course (like if you were doing grand-am series racing or similar) bigger brakes would be a necessity.

What pads/rotors are you using right now? I've never seen smoke from my stock-size brakes.

I had smoke from my right front all the way back to the rear of my car, this weekend on a canyon run. I think either brake pads and/or rotor time! At the end of the run I had NO brakes whatsoever!!!

Cool, it's the Back to the Future P5! Now you can be like Marty McFly and go back in time to make out with your mom...
