What have you done to your P5 today?

bird crap, tree sap ugh... i also get to deal with industrial fallout and rail dust every day (i work by the refineries at an oil/trucking company)... needless to say, on the horizontal surfaces my wax does not last as long as it could :(

but a bird flying into your garage to crap on your car? you really did piss them off! lol

Actually the tree sap hasn't been too bad....but the pollen. (pissed) Now both cars have a nice yellow 'top coat'. If it does rain this weekend at least they get a free rinse.

Now I see why you got all of those detailing products! Ever think about a car cover? We have a plant in town that leaves red dust on the premises and whenever I drive by the parking lot (which is across the street) I see several cars and trucks with covers.

hmmm, never thought of a cover before... everyone at work knows i'm the resident 'car crazy chica'; this would just step it up another notch, lol.

Got pulled over yesterday,
I was speeding, tailgating, and making unsafe lane changes. The cop tried to pull over two cars at one time (SVT focus and me), however I didn't see that he was trying to pull me over, so I kept going. When he caught up with me, I couldn't find my regristration and insurance...

ow. Drive safely man, it's worth it.

I haven't had registration in my car for about a month now. The car has valid registration through Feb 2008 but a Subaru dealership that I test drove a car at never gave me my registration back. They took it for like the VIN or something to determine trade in value.

I got a verbal warning..

got some stuff accomplished today, but not everything i wanted to :(

new grills (top and bottom) are on, genuine daveb gauge rings are in, door chime mod is done, and mazdaspeed pedals are on... kind of. accelerator was a piece of cake, but the clutch and brake pedals are one royal PITA!!!! got them over the bottom and sides, but just cannot get them to snug over the top - and we were at it for over an hour. any suggestions? it's a very tight fit.

VENT
tried to change my foglight bulbs and got as far as the screws (to take the actual assembly apart to put the new bulb in): the one screw for each foglight was locktighted in - and in the process of trying to get it out, we entirely scored/stripped the screw (it was a phillips). only way to get it out is to drill it out i think; that, or pay someone to do this ridiculously easy task.
/VENT

also got the new door sills on, but didn't have time to do the wiring today, so that will have to wait a bit. oh, and detailed her inside and washed her after.

as it was too dark by the time i finished, pics forthcoming tomorrow. :)

Yeah one of my foglights has the little stripped screw.. I just hope that I'll be out of college and have a different car before the bulb dies hahaha

yeah um I'm at 67k miles on my 02.5 and still rocking original fog bulbs.

What grilles did you get? Some aftermarket ones?

i want to put my yellow luminics in the fogs - pisses me off (pissed)

got the grills from mazdaspeedster; i quite like them. a little time-consuming to put on - especially the lower grill since i didn't take it out - but i love the look.

Did you remove the fog lights completely and still stripped 'em? If so, that sucks. I have my Titanium White bulbs and JDM Yellow fogs... I love it, it looks so hot. I'm that guy that annoys you at stop lights, "no, I don't have my hi-beams on!" :D

I see you said that it is entirely stripped, can you get a pair of vise grips on the edges? maybe trying to spray(and let soak in) some lubricant. If you were closer I wouldn't mind giving you a hand, but you are a bit north. Can you try to file a groove into the head of the screw to maybe get a flat head? It is hard to think of things without having it in my hands to fiddle with, hope it helps, and if you want to drive down I'll take care of you and you could help me with detailing(peep)

Well it was actually yesterday, but I took my pride and joy, devoid of back and passenger seats, exhaust and wing, down the 1/4 mile and managed a 15.87 @ 86.36mph. Only permanent performance mod is a K&N pod filter, (mine is 1.8L engine)
