kartboy shifter bushings
kartboy weighted knob
corksport 2.5 in stainless exhaust (no cats)
piaa extreme bulbs in lows, highs, and fogs,
waiting on paint for my buddy club two body kit

replaced rear badge with the familia jspec badging
installed new jspec Familia taillight housings
installed 17x7 mazdaspeed racing hart wheels with kyokugen lightweight lugs

and my new kenwood deck is installed tomorrow.

Next week the AWR 21mm rear sway, end links and trailiing arms are being installed, as well as the body kit will be back from paint and fitted with all mazda stock fasteners.

:edit:

crap, forgot the engine s***.

redline synthetic oil, tranny fluid, and gear oil
magnecor 8.5 mm wires (these things are outragously expensive at $74)
ngk plugs
crappy intake (not worrying about changing it, youll soon see why)

April's upgrades:

corksport protege5 turbo kit
quiafe LSD
ACT stage 3 clutch kit

That makes me want to get a job. I second you on plug wires being outrageously expensive, and plus from what I've read they really aren't any better than the stock wires for my car because of our distributerless system (probably because the wires are so short they don't need to be so beefy). I have the Sparkco myself, and from my experience they charge the same amount for a short 2-wire system like our cars and a 6 long wire system like my mom and sister's Altima and Maxima. Bastards.

Welcome to the forums? Did you just get your Protege5? If so, looks like you definitely caught the forum bug.

Actually, I bought the car in Dec of 03' new when I was married. 6 months after that, I got divorced, and I "donated" the car to the ex wife, and purchased myself a 04 Suzuki Forenza S. On xmas eve of this year I totalled the Suzu on the way to Boise, hitting black ice. So with the settlement, I paid off the Suzu, the Mazda, and spent the money needed to get prepped for road racing this spring, with the ex wife getting a new Kia Spectre5 (she's getting remarried in June).

As for the wires being expensive, I really dont care about the HP gain it gives, thats not the point. What I want is consistancy. Anyone who races knows....its not time thats important, its consistancy.

Got some crappy pics last night (it was foggy and couldn't use the flash due to the fog showing up in the pics). I'll post them here as soon as my camera gets back from getting lunch (it's in the car).

As for an update, my buddy club 2 kit just got delivered up at cork, and will be getting fitted and mounted, prepped for paint tomorrow, and painted this weekend. So, by next tuesday all that will be left will be the turbo, clutch, top end, and diff. :D

Oh, and I blew my new sub in 24 hours. I guess thats what the sales guy gets when I ask "do you have anything that can handle more power?" hehehehe

Ok, like i said, bad pics...but i don't really care. next week once its finished ill care. till then, this is what i got (still need to wash the motor, so no pics of that yet either).

i just picked up topher's set of mp3 rims he's had for sale for a few months...coming in a bronze color. probably not the color of choice for a yellow p5, so i'll be spending some time painting those back to a silver. plus the center caps are red...not sure what i'm going to do with those yet....

on that post...any1 know of a good way of getting paint off of the center caps w/o destroying them?

oh yeah and also (if hadn't already bought the paint) check out wal-mart for the dupli-color wheel paint. it's cheaper than autozone, kragen, etc. especially since you're going with white, it'll be easier to find than the graphite i used.

I looked at walmart but didn't see any wheel paint...would it be w/ the paint, or w/ the car stuff??

Its with the car stuff. Its in the same area where I get my blue anodized paint for my calipers.

oookay, I was gonna go pick up the paint after work today, so I'll have to swing by there, thanks for the tip.
