What have you done to your P5 today?

Nice! I can't wait for my replacement tire to get here so I can get that last one mounted and throw the new-to-me 16s on the car. I'm about ready for a change. I've had these wheels since I bought the car. I had the same style before I had an altercation with a curb, but in gunmetal. Got a new set (2 wheels totally ****** in the wreck) in gold. They look great, but I've got a slightly friendlier offset and just a different look :)

Put Tein S Techs on our P5 last week. Suspension is otherwise stock. Posted a pic in a 5 year old thread (hand) thought I better put it here.

lol nice. Car looks good. I've got a set of those that I may be swapping on next weekend to replace the Mazdaspeed Protege springs I'm running on now

cool! I think you will be very happy with these all the way around. Ride and handling are mixed "just right" in my opinion.

cool, that's what I'm going for. I've also got a nice meaty tire package going on there so that should keep the ride decent for daily driving / extended trip duties

I have stock rims of course with 205/50's and no rubs except turning hard right where the plastic in the drivers side wheel well got screwed up during a hasty CAI install.

Was going to paint my rear valence yesterday, noticed that I had some rust peeking out under the mazda emblem on the hatch. Figured I might as well re-paint those as well, took all the emblems off and found this. I am debating on trying to repair it myself, anybody do their on rust repair and want to offer up an opinion ?

Sounds like it's kind of hit or miss depending on what dealer you go to. I read about guys being told that you had to have rust penetrate thru and make a hole for them to fix it. Also, it sounds like the warranty is from dealer delivery date ? Like when they got the vehicle, that kinda sux if that is true. I have owned mine almost 5 years.... I'm gunna ask about it though.

so we got new tools to replace the ones we lost in our garage fire last week.

the stuff i picked up this week includes

17gal craftsman air compressor
8pc craftsman ratcheting wrench set
71pc gearwrench thru-socket wrench
3 ton jack
2 3 ton jackstands
creeper
9.6 volt ryobi drill
21pc skil drillbit set
50ft craftsman rubber hose

and i think thats it...

oh and my mom got me a replacement laptop i can use for school and whatnot. so im typing this from my new laptop

what a lovely spring break =)

If they dont cover, you might get lucky and maybe get a deal from them, 50-50 or 60-40?? you pay half. Only reason I mention that is along time ago I had a 1996 s10, just over 3 years old and out of warranty-- the fuel pump went out @ 33,900 miles-- they said they would pay for the parts if I covered part labor-- ended up costing me 138 bucks and not 600.
Good luck

Killed my roof.

Not sure what this crappy foam is for, but it had to be scraped off with a puddy knife...

FoxPro5, what did you use and how many layers? Heat gun or just a roller?

Cascade VMax. I actually did two layers here where normally I don't double up on this product. I put a layer down, did a tap test and didn't feel it decoupled it well enough. Plus that other layer helped set up more of a barrier than with just one.

Heat gun? Never....not even at 15* F...which is the coldest I've installed it. I used Cascade's VMax applicator tool to install it, which is pretty sweet. I hate those rollers.
