What have you done to your P5 today?

no no, go to www.shockerstickers.com and have him custom cut you one that says "no fat dudes" or check out the site and maybe get some ideas... good luck

haha, nice - and always!! :D the more i have my car, the more my plate suits me, lol (see username)

ordered the summer rubber today - gets installed on monday. woot!! can't wait; the winters are getting awful squishy in this warm weather. hopefully in a couple weeks the new suspension will go in, and then it will be just minor tweaking and enhancements for summer.

question for everyone, and no flaming please:
i know it's more common these days for a girl to mod her car, but it's still a stereotype that as soon as someone sees a modded car - slightly or excessively - it's automatically assumed to be owned by a guy. i've gotten this comment more than once and to be honest, it bugs me.

would it be cheesy/rice/etc to put the following on my car? it would be in brushed silver (like the rest of my *very* few decals on the car), and be placed in the bottom 'lip' of the rear bumper:
this is NOT my boyfriend's car

i dunno, it came to me one day, and the more i think about it, the more i kinda like it. what are your thoughts/opinions?

very nice...

any tuning plans?

Not at the immediate moment, other than maybe cutting the grill. (I really don't want to take out the funnelling altspace...)

Talkin' to a buddy of mine tonight (who's a car FREAK), he suggested starting with the suspension, instead of anything major on the engine or wheels. He had a couple of reasons of why, but at the moment, I can't recall... The suspension he was showing me on a site lowers the front about 1.4", and the back about 1.2". (Or was that vice versa?)

I drove it!

I didn't :(

I spent the entire afternoon/evening/night cleaning the living room, dining room, and hallway at my apartment at school because my roommate had me locked out of the room with a girl in there and my other roommates weren't around.

No keys to drive car + no laptop to do homework = extreme boredom for hours.

at least it's all ultra clean though.

i get something similar...hey this your kid's car?? i'm a bit older than most on the forum so when you get that sticker get me one that say's "no, it's not my kid's car!"

Heh, I pick my daughter up from school everyday. Nothing but stares and finger pointing from the kids lately. Hmmm...must be the rims.

I get looks too when I drive as I am also a little older than most here on the forum. My wife usually picks up my daughter from school so I don't know about staring and finger pointing from the other kids, but my wife has mentioned that she gets alot more looks from guys when she drives it. Maybe I should take her set of keys away.:)

My son and daughter love the car. They ask to take it wherever we go so our Vue has gone from everyday hauler to a dust collector in the garage!

Funny, I got the opposite when I first got my P5. A few people at school (high school at the time) said "Hey, is that your mom's car or something?". I guess it was because one day I pulled in with my big truck, and the next day it was with a little sport wagon.

My mom definitely wouldn't ever drive a car like mine. I pushed her to get a Mazda6 to replace her 03 Altima and she said it felt like it had no power at all. She's driven my car a few times when I've had her car (05 Altima 3.5se) to detail it, but she said it was way too loud and slow :(

*grumbles* Took the plates from the previous owner off today to give back to him, and have to FREAKING WAIT to drive it due to the fact that he didn't have his loan paid off and didn't realize he had to do that to transfer the title to me.

*mumbles under breath*

So now I have to just look at the MP5 sitting in my driveway.

*ideas start going through head*

I think I'll attempt to paint the calipers in the next week and a half. I'll probably wash it inside and out today after I'm done cutting the grass and putting down the crab grass preventer.

I need to do SOMETHING with the car since I can't drive it...

Cleaned and lubed the calipers. Installed a set of Kartboy exhaust hangers. Ordered a cell phone holder. Still waiting on a set of Kumho's Escta SPT to be installed.

waiting (impatiently);) for the reveal

Drove Macon, Ga to Miami, Fl on Thursday (12:15pm - 9:30pm) then back throgh Jacksonville Fl (10:15-8:00). Some1 wanna calculate the mileage on that? It's like 1200...

Installed a short shifter (ebay j-spec one) and kartboy brushings. I LOVE it, feels tight, percise, and much shorter throws. I drove around some windy roads for a while, it was a lot of fun!

Installation was very smooth, all because of the info I've gathered on this awesome board. Bought a clip retaining tool, and tin snips ($20 total), which made the install a hell of alot easier.

I want to drive it more talking about it. (thumb)
