What have you done to your P5 today?

^^ Looks beautiful. I put the summer wheels back on finally and got her aligned. Couldn't wash her, still too damn cold for me.

This is what my car looks like every time i need to change a low beam light bulb.

I need help painting my headlight. I just to afraid to mess up and be out big bucks, maybe over the summer someone can help me out or have a "paint my headlights" (boobs) NEPOC event.

Yeah it isn't that bad, this marks the third time my headlights have been in the oven. This time I just needed to get some glass shards out :P

ok last pic for the night. I'm not done, but I'm pretty close. My rear calipers are still red though because I can't have both ends jacked up at the same time. Also, my exhaust header is not in the vehicle so although it looks completely normal right now, it definitely wouldn't run (no oxygen sensors plugged in). I'm going to do a shoddy job of putting the header back on tomorrow morning because the spring bolts that connect it to the stock exhaust manifold suck. I broke the welds on both of them so the studs are still attached to the midpipe. It just needs to be able to get me through the week until my MAM midpipe comes in without sounding like ass.

:)

So tonight I did the following:
1. made my brushed aluminum cold air intake into a flat black cold air intake.
2. Touched up a few little things under the hood with the flat black paint - specifically the top brackets for the radiator and the bracket for the coolant overflow bottle. They were looking really gross.
3. Coated my header. The paint specifically says "suitable for exhaust headers" and "1200F" so it should last. If only I had washed the header down before I first started the car up after installing it, it was all unevenly bronzed and gross looking.
4. Attempted to change my gear oil before remembering that I don't have a 23mm socket in my Craftsman set.
5. took off my front bumper and headlights and baked them to get the glass shards out of one headlight.
6. attached the carbon fiber trim piece above my glovebox since I finally found the proper 3m adhesive strips.
7. painted my front calipers silver (just the front ones tonight though). It took 5 coats to get them looking as they are in the picture. Maybe if I had sanded down the red a little it would have been easier. The paint was very runny so it took three coats to get them to look more silver than red. I don't know if I like how it looks though, it looks very empty now. Maybe I should have just gone with black after all. It's not like I have a BBK or anything.

Almost everything under my hood is nasty like that as you can sorta see in the blurry picture I posted. Winter hates me. My goal for this spring is to make my engine bay presentable. I need to get rid of the two red hoses, replace the coolant overflow bottle, do black wrinkle coat on my valve cover, and polish all the heavily corroded stuff.

Yeah, I hear ya. Winter pretty much owns me as well. My engine bay looks like hell too. Need to get on the new valve cover and intake manifold and start cleaning and painting everything that will come off that looks like s***..........

New Toy From Canadian Tire.

Although I feel that Jobmate is like the bottom end of the world of tools, the price is simplu impossible to pass up.

With moving to a new house, the idea of a 2 Wide 2 Deep garage opens the idea of making an actual workshop more possible.

This week, this was only $149.00 Complete, I got the only one available. I finally have an impact. It should save so much time in rebuilding the 944.
