^^ Looks beautiful. I put the summer wheels back on finally and got her aligned. Couldn't wash her, still too damn cold for me.

zverg said:So tonight I did the following:
1. made my brushed aluminum cold air intake into a flat black cold air intake.
2. Touched up a few little things under the hood with the flat black paint - specifically the top brackets for the radiator and the bracket for the coolant overflow bottle. They were looking really gross.
3. Coated my header. The paint specifically says "suitable for exhaust headers" and "1200F" so it should last. If only I had washed the header down before I first started the car up after installing it, it was all unevenly bronzed and gross looking.
4. Attempted to change my gear oil before remembering that I don't have a 23mm socket in my Craftsman set.
5. took off my front bumper and headlights and baked them to get the glass shards out of one headlight.
6. attached the carbon fiber trim piece above my glovebox since I finally found the proper 3m adhesive strips.
7. painted my front calipers silver (just the front ones tonight though). It took 5 coats to get them looking as they are in the picture. Maybe if I had sanded down the red a little it would have been easier. The paint was very runny so it took three coats to get them to look more silver than red. I don't know if I like how it looks though, it looks very empty now. Maybe I should have just gone with black after all. It's not like I have a BBK or anything.

Yaggie1 said:Good call on #2. I was about to give you a hard time over those nasty looking radiator brackets......(poke)
zverg said:Almost everything under my hood is nasty like that as you can sorta see in the blurry picture I posted. Winter hates me. My goal for this spring is to make my engine bay presentable. I need to get rid of the two red hoses, replace the coolant overflow bottle, do black wrinkle coat on my valve cover, and polish all the heavily corroded stuff.
