yeah you do. im sorry to get your hopes upI thought you had to buy the whole new center cartridge.
LOL, the smokescreen I left behind me today took away +8 months of turbo happiness. I'm really beginning to get sick of this. I never figured the stock MSP setup would result in so many problems...my p5 has me wanting to put a drill to my head and just let it rip lol never imagined such a horrible experience. These 3 weeks trying to get my exhaust to work takes away from 2 years worth of anything good that came from the p5.
I'm just beginning to think I bought a bogus turbo - I don't really know what the person before me did to it. From what I can tell, I've been burning oil for a while now and just recently whatever was wrong got significantly worse. Nothing is leaking - just lots of blue/black smoke under boost...I always thought your car would be really stable with a relatively moderate turbo setup (one that should have come stock on the car (shrug) ) and seemed really clean and reliable. Guess not. Maybe due to lack of engine management?
The AFR's seem normal - nothing overly rich. I can still get into boost, but I get so much smoke coming out the back it makes me wonder how much oil I'm burning. It also doesn't smell like unburnt gas at all. I mean, my oil has to be going somewhere and if it's not leaking onto the ground... I'm going to make some calls around tomorrow and see if I can get a better idea of what's going on.You're still getting boost though, which I am guessing still seems normal? Seems like it's just not burning the fuel all the way then? like aka extremely rich?
It better rain hoes as soon as that key turns. Otherwise, not worth it.... lol
you get my pm about the center caps? That's harder on your paint than you think. It's worse than acid rain, especially if they're dirty hoes.
LOL, I know, at I've got one good thing for me. Time to call up MPI and see if they still do their turbo upgrade.ouch, that sucks dude. 200psi is actually pretty healthy for the motor. @ least you've got that going for ya!
I took it to a shop to have the compression test done. I don't have the tool myself and none of the auto parts stores had one to rent.Since I put in my new turbo last week I haven't used a drop of oil. I've been going through about 1/2 quart every 1000miles.
Did you test with a tsp of oil in there too to check rings? I just did mine and they were like 195 and 210 with oil in the cylinder.
