StealthWyvern said:Do you have any other upgraded mounts installed? I was goign to get the SU mounts but I might try the SLS ones instead. I currently have the AWR front mount and well its vibrates the car pretty bad at times, but thats due to my rear mount being shot for the most part
IAT?Kansei said:tee off. you can tee off from the one that goes to the IAT, I think that's the one I used.
Yaggie1 said:No, I don't. I had the SU front and rear mounts, but I had never installed the rear one. I got enough vibration out of the front one do steer me totally away from adding the rear one. Worst thing for me is that I have an auto and even with the soft SU mount it shook bad enough for me to remove it. I decided to give the SLS one a shot after hearing Kansei talk about his.I don't know what they do different with theirs but, it is sweet. I would for sure recommend it to anyone who has too much vibration with their other mounts. Plus, the price is awesome.
StealthWyvern said:I had the 90 duro AWR front and rear mount (rear never installed). The vibration wasn't at all bad and hardly notiable at first. It was like my friends Sentra tha was highmilage and you could feel it in the seats slightly. However beings that the rear mount is now shot I can tell! BTW I have a ATX as well with over 150k on the clock.

Would you recommend removing the bolt that goes through the middle of the mount from underneath or by going through the engine bay?Kansei said:It's just a different design. Neither the SLS or the AWR looks just like the stock mount. It's a 20-30 minute install, you don't even jack the car up to do it. Steps: unbolt two 17mm nuts underneath the mount.. look under the car or feel around to find them, don't jack up the car it'll put a load on that mount. When you have them off, take the bolt out of the middle of the stock mount (17mm as well I think). Now put the SLS mount in, stick the bolt through the middle, then stick the two included bolts down through the holes in the mount and chassis, and thread the nuts on from underneath. Tighten everything down and you're all set![]()
The metal "holder" that has the bushing in it gets replaced, since this is a complete front mount and not just an insert.amsgator said:so the only thing that gets replaced is the mount and not the bracket?
