What have you done to your P5 today?

as for the catback and my age, im not old but not young. those rims were a birthday gift to myself. i just celebrated my 30th. so as for catbacks, i either want magnaflow,racing beat or im thinking of going with the tanabe touring axle back and then get a catback made. i did look at the megan racing catbacks but it seems too many people have issues with them moving a lot and the heat sheild hitting the pipes. i dont really want to screw with that.
if you're looking for a magnaflow, i'm looking to sell mine. it's been on the car about 1.5yrs, and other than the expected bit of dirt, etc, it's in perfect condition. my only reason for selling is a buddy of mine is going to the dark side and getting a 3" turboback exhaust, and so is selling his racing beat exhaust (which i really, really want). :) i have pics, etc, if you'd be interested... no clearance issues at all, and it sounds great :)

New Ramps!

Even with extensions, my trusty ramps would not clear the MSP front lip at stock height. Now that both Pros are lowered with MSP lips, they are even more unusable lol! I kept them around for oil changes and under-car work using a convoluted method of reversing them, jacking the car at the lift point behind each tire and then slipping the ramps under the tires. Its impossible to use jack stands when you need to place the stand where you are physically jacking up the car. Recently I tried jacking the car at the rear jacking point (insert joke here) and this brought the entire side of the car up enough to slip a jack stand under the front point. As I was starting to jack up the other side in the same manner and the entire car was pivoting on one jack stand, the jack stand (and the entire car) slipped within a few millimeters of the garage wall. Well, f@#k this s***! I had found Brute Industries Race Ramps about a year ago, but I couldnt bring myself to spend $300 (+ shipping and these things are friggin huge) on a set of ramps (the 67" XTs). They are aimed at the DIY Corvette owner, are clearly a quality piece and recently have found a rabid following with low clearance sport-compacts. Well, I had convinced the wife that these were now genuinely needed and would make a great Xmas present for me (I love being a guy) when I started searching for the best price. I lucked out and found a group-buy going on at an STi forum and blended in with the crowd and got 20% off :)

Standard ramps Vs 56" Race Ramps The difference will be even more dramatic with the longer/higher XTs on the way to me:

if you loved your car you'd be installing now, posting about them coming in later :P it's not that late in alaska yet, you still have time.

lol! :)

I may be heading to the hospital in an hour or two (no worries, nothing to see here.. just barely conscious) but I have enough love for my Protege that I won't wake her up for the half mile journey to either hospital's urgent care walk-in clinic.. I'll let her rest safe and sound in the garage plugged into her electric blanket (block heater)

(peep) hmmm... I love my car, so here are my excu-er, I mean reasons(RTM)

you have a point, (poke)however 5 degrees (guess) and winds gusting to 50 mph for a wind chill of -45 are really really strong reasons to procrastinate. Tomorrow morning the winds are forecasted to reach 80 mph with winds chills that can kill you(shocked), and the rest of the week the winds chills are going to be around -20. Saturday I can finally steal the garage from my wife long enough to change the oil, put on winter wipers, install spark plug wires, and do the AWR trailing links. Afterward I will regain control of the garage since my now drivable car will be the car of choice for the 40 mile commute to work (the Jeep Liberty is pushed around by the wind a little bit).

Not to mention the sun sets @ 1630 and rises @ 0930 my daylight working time doesn't extend past my 12 hour working days and the babysitting of my 6 month old daughter after work. (coffee)

Unfortunately, I have to schedule my car maintenance time around my other more important responsibilities (like feeding my baby and working to pay for two house payments)

(first)

Ha, one up on Kansei!
Nice Ramps Bala!

What I meant was;

When you are ready to let some of your kid toys go @ garage sale prices, I'd be interested (pink bucket, plastic toys and stuff)
