i loved the Pro Kit on my P5!!!!!! glad i was not able to get the sport-lines, because that would have been way too low!!!!!!

um it hit 42 here today.. and I was outside washing my car and then finished my AXR clunk fix bracket..

bala look at this photo set and cry: http://picasaweb.google.com/clauretano/AXRClunkFix

it's like your car.. just with 1000x the rust :'(
Um ... I think you accidentally included an underwater shot of the Titanic:

:) Looks like fun. I know you can't wait to hang out with those damp leaves again, but when you have a chance, snug up those collar clamps against the bushings. Is everything bolted up to the stock P5 rear subframe? Found any off-camber driveways for some 3-wheel action yet?

It's not at the top of my list, but it's on it: There are a number of cool products that either completely strip rust or permanantly convert it to another substance.

The collar clamps are snug now. Pics 1-4 were before I started work last night. That's how I was driving around all last week ugh. That collar clamp had moved because.. I hadn't tightened it. It was really late when I did the beginning of the install and when I gave up for the night (when I broke the weld) I forgot to make sure things were tightened. The bushing bracket on the driver's side (the side I hadn't finished) was just hand tightened :P

Oh and 3-wheel action.. see http://picasaweb.google.com/clauretano/AXRClunkFix/photo#4988532057556910098

It's hard to tell from the pic but I could get my hand under the tire so I know it was off :P

Chris, maybe I have been under a rock for some time and didn't know it . What is the clunk fix you are talking about on the P5 ? I have heard about the clunk fix issue on the MSP but honestly don't know what it's even all about. Can you enlighten me ?

Today was wash and wax day for him.. I used Maguires tech wax.. it really shined him up! Now I realize that next summer I will have to have my front end repainted...
also.. *makes mental note to NOT park under the huge maple(?) tree infront of my apartment..*

The clunk fix is to relocate the brackets that hold the sway bar to the car. The factory location causes the MSP/MP3 rear sway bar, as well as any upgraded sway bar for the P5 like the AWR ones, to bind up and actually flex instead of just rotating like it should. The clunk sound is the sway bar basically chafing in the bushings.

It doesn't happen with the original P5 sway bar because it is really thin and weak I guess.
