What have you done to your P5 today?

Took a drive to Autozone and picked up some sandpaper and Rustoleum primer. Came home and sanded down the backside of the PS rear quarter panel along with the bottom of the wheel well were the side skirts meet. Rinsed them off and waiting for them to dry and then I'll spray them down. Hoping to at least stop the rust from growing until I can get it fixed.

Also popped the hood and noticed my coolant overflow was lower than normal. I've noticed no puddles and the car's running ok but did notice this at the top of the rad where the upper rad hose connects....any ideas???

That happened to my last radiator. It was because the main fan wasn't plugged in so the car struggled to cool down with just the one ac fan. I just got a new rad because I had a lifetime warranty from advance. You wipe down that whole area, make sure the car is cold and then JB weld that whole top.

Installed my new front rotors this morning. The calipers are not siezed so I just cleaned up the slider pins, regreased the bits that needed it and put it back together.

Now, the only road noise I get is from the Kumho tires that the PO apparently never rotated. I'll get a better tire for the Michigan seasons inthe fall.

CTt3P5--Are you painting the rear panel or just leaving it primered for now?

put my stock rims back on, lowered the sleeves about 4 turns in the back and all the way down in the front, also finished up putting the IC on and the front bumper and lip back on
now to pressure test the system to see if i have any leaks and then goin for a test drive :D
oh and i almost burned the whole car down on accident, whew, what a scary moment

Thanks...I'll also double check my fan plugs.

For now I'm only primering the backside of the rear panel in hopes the rust will stop progression and I'll address the front side later.

I would recommend dedicated snows, I love mine!

I almost did the same thing today working on the injectors hahaha

Just bought a corksport radiator with 1.3bar mazdaspeed cap and spal fan from biglou. Can't wait to get that puppy and install it!

If we got enough snow consistently I would go with Blizzaks but we really only had a few days last year that were very bad.

I like the Falken 915 for an all season tire.

Well I preferred them for the ice, rain, and slush. Plus dedicated winters means better summer tires!

was at summer slam at raceway park, NJ today.. saw a few hot mazdas and p5's. ill post some pics up later tonight or tomorow morning.

so if i hear what i can best describe as "air releasing" when my strut rebounds from a speed bump would that indicate that the strut is on its way out? is there a easy way to test if the struts are still good or not while still on the car?

Finally got off my butt and did SOMETHING to the car. Broke out my 3m headlight polishing kit and went to town. Was pleasantly surprised at how they came out. I also took the whole front end apart and put some weatherstriping on the white foam bumper core to hopefully elminate some of the vibration noise while sitting at idle......Need to pick up a couple tires, do some brake work and probably shop for struts sometime soon.....

Not with a spring attached to it either?

ive wanted a dvd/nav system real bad for a while but id feel uncomfortable leaving my windows down while in the store then.

looks awesome though!

You can gut your OEM double din head unit and make a false face for security... I wish I had an extra one to make a how-to with.
