What have you done to your P5 today?

Actualy no. The Dyno measures WHP.
Earlier this year this Dyno was compared with 2 other local Dynos, one of them being HorsePowerFreaks or TorqueFreaks, and both cars tested registered within 1-2% of the WHP on each Dyno.

ok, then I'm at a loss
well like the saying goes..... "more power to ya"

Yes but the red line (HP) still goes up to 142. The Blue line (Torque) maxes at 121 just before the 5251RPM mark when the VCTS drops it.

That is fairly peaky power. does it feel like it really pulls hard right up near redline? 121wtorque isn't too bad at that RPM though... but yeah that's why the WHP is so high, because it's makin the torque at high RPM. I've heard that is the affect headers have (I barely noticed a difference with my ractive header), so maybe the AWR is just very nice?

We had a nice Mazda Dyno day last summer in CT! Went well except for BlkZmZm??? (Brian) who fried his STOCK msp engine!

We need to have a dyno day again sometime or I'll just have to get it done up here :P

probably safer that I do it here so that if it blows I can just get a ride home from a roommate.

I didn't dyno my car because I didn't have a ton of engine mods at that point but.. my how the times have changed :P

The car pulls nice and steady to just before redline (then fades a little). I wish I would have Dyno'ed stock and with each new mod but...
Honestly the car feels gutless compared to what I have driven in the past so my "set-of-the-pants dyno" isn't a very good judge. I would take it to the track but I am somewhat embaressed to pull anything in the 15-17 second range after pulling 13's with my last car so, I'll stick to the twisties for now.

I am looking for a local or 2 to try a few things out and to shed some light on these mods though. I will post what I find.
Thanks guys for not openly flaming/bashing the numbers since I have little explanation for them. This was simply intended as a benchmark before the new engine.

Custom ground wire install completed. BazookaJoe is the man with the hookup. Install is quite simple really. On a side note, always check your battery polarity before hooking any wires back up.

Notice any difference? I still wonder if I should do this? What changes do you feel?

To be honest, I wanted to do it simply to enhance the look of my engine bay. Not sure yet if I feel much of a difference though. Can't really say because I just started driving it today. Time will tell.

nice rims

Thanks, I must say that I like your car color choice. Those that (bicker) that the silver or blue is better are just (enguard) for 2nd best, everyone knows that red rules

(p5blue) (p5silver) (second) (p5red) (10) (first)

however we could discuss the merits of a 7 split spoke rim vs 8 split spoke rim

enguard!
