after being jerked around by one company i ordered my wheels and tires today from another(though this second order consists of different wheels). I ended up ordering kosei k1-ts 17x7 silver finish w/ 42mm offset wrapped in goodyear eagle f1-gs d3 in 215/40/17.

also just placed an order with protegegarage for an awr 21.5 mm sway bar

can't wait to get this stuff.

today I slept in my car.. well yesterday and today. I left for the 6 hour drive back home (a stopping point on the way to New Hampshire) at 10:30pm and by the time I was 90 minutes away I was far too tired (asleep at the wheel a few times a minute) so I pulled into a rest area and slept until 3am. Then I got up, was all disoriented (had to sleep in the driver seat not reclined all that much because there was a mountain bike chillin in the back seat behind me), and got back to CT. It wasn't all that uncomfortable sleeping in that seat though. It's a first for me though, I usually sleep in the back seat when for some reason I'm all tired and stuff.

Glad you were smart enough to pull over. Too many people try to "stick it out" and hurt themself or someone else on the road. I had a horrible wreck 4 years ago from falling asleep. Needless today I was within an inch of my life. I rolled my Jeep 2 times in the road and ended up in a 8 foot ditch.Somehow came out w/ only minor injuries. Be safe.

I didn't pull over to keep myself safe, I pulled over because I didn't want to end up damaging the car :D

Well now off I go on the second leg of my trip... I should probably have slept this morning but I don't feel tired at all right now. The 3 hours sleeping in the driver's seat really did wonders haha.

You know that part in the Dukes of Hazzard theme song where is says some day the mountain might get'm but the law never will?

Mingus Mountain on Highway 89A has 158 curves in a 12 mile stretch.
Mingus Mt took a bite out of my left front fender.

I was in a 180 left curve then a quick 90 degree right. As I was in the apex of the right curve I hit washboards (ripples) in the road and lost traction and bounced into the guardrail with my left headlight.

So far it looks like I took out my left headlight, left fog, left fender, left fender support, radiator support, lower grille, and the front bumper.

No RPF1s?! :( Also... see if they can get you the +50mm offset on those Koseis. That is what I had and they worked great.

Good thing you are okay. Also... good that your wheels aren't bent :)
