What have you done to your P5 today?

Did some wiring over the weekend...that is SCMP3 in the pic...

have any of you all gotten your AWR mounts and it looked to be re stickered?
i just looked at my rear mount and it says 70 but its covering a 90 sticker. weird to me since my mounts are ridiculously stiff and vibrate like crazy. it actually rattles the change in my ash tray....anyone?

Took my P5 to get E-Checked. She passed so now I can put on my MAM catless midpipe and be safe for two years. Muhaha! Suckas.

However, does anyone else have a MAM catless midpipe? I bought my used for dirt cheap but it's just a little odd that both flanges are welded on at an angle. Is this normal? I don't remember my header or GReddy cat back being angled.

now what are you doing scratch? that is a mess in there. how do you keep track of anything?

Lol...remember back MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS ago when I bought all my audio equipment...it finally went in...also installed floor lights for front/rear seats and got the wiring in for the puddle lights on the mirrors...rewired the sound system...

Yup.

Indeed. I figured it out... just to fix the rust will cost me more than the car is worth. With the mileage on it and future repairs coming up... it's officially been demoted to "Beater" status, and dealt with as such.

That friggen car must have been parked in the sea or a brine tank for most of it's life, I think you would win the prize for the rustiest P5 in existance.

Pat.

Pics of the sound system! ;)

gotcha scratch. you just had tools and parts everywhere. im so anal, when i did my stereo, i had little baggies and taped all of the screws and stuff to the appropriate part, and laid them all out in the basement in order of removal. lol.

oh, and today i filled up my tires to 35 psi. they were all at an even 28.5. not bad for 4 months of winter without checking. i still need to get them rotated, but they are all wearing evenly, so i feel fine with leaving them for now.

Lol...yea it has been a while...and I thought I had pics on here before, but I will take some when I get a chance along with the other new things...

It consists of an Alpine PDX-5, DIYMA 12" sub, Custom box, Pioneer Headunit with HD Radio, JL rear door speakers, and Focal 6v2s 6.5" Front Components...

All of it has been in the car, but not hooked up...

Send it to our friend in FL to be rehabbed!

Nice...I have thought about cutting into the cargo cover and mounting two speakers there...kind of like on the Hondas...

quote from a while back, but i'm thinking about doing the same thing. I can get some 6x9's for cheap from a local member and thought it'd be a nice setup. Also going to run the MSP sub&amp that i got for free from helping with a turbo build :) mounted like this:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123688915

If i can't get that to work with the 6x9's in the privacy cover i might have to be more creative with mounting the sub/amp.

Oh you don't want to put 6x9s in the cargo cover. I did that in my 96 probe gt it sounded terrible I had to actually make a 6x9 enclosure that was glassed to the cargo cover to make a noticiable difference. to much work even for that. It was mostly show.

Really? it's that bad? i could probably have something custom made to enclose the speakers and look factory if it would make it sound better.

yeah its pretty bad. They do make prefabbed 6x9 boxes that you can buy at your local audio store. Then you can cut your 6x9 hole and mount the speaker to the box with the cargo cover sandwhiched inbetween. But I'm not sure if the cargo cover can hole the extra weight over time. But that would be a easy way to make it like OEM.

Yea, I was discussing this with a local guy and we figured we can just reinforce it to hold up to the added weight.

Well it's that or fiberglassing a little enclosure onto the bottom of the privacy cover, but your option sounds like a lot less work.
