What have you done to your P5 today?

The Mazda dealer didn't reconnect my coolant lines after doing my intake mani under recall.

Can't win anywhere

JDM tails

Hey guys, thinking I am going to get rid of my JDM/EDM/UK/whatever the heck you call em taillights. They are the ones that don't light up the bottom portion of the tail. I think they are the UK version if I remember correctly...........

Anyway, I will probably be posting them up for sale hopefully tonite if anyone is on the lookout for some.............

Damn let me know I've been trying to get a set money on hand if price is right. :)

actually. i think if you pushed on from the back (towards the back of the car) of the side marker towards the front of the car, u'll be able to pull and it comes right out. if that direction doesnt work. try pushing it towards the back of the car. but i think its a push to the front :)

Same here.

And, to all the P5 guys, i've got a set of tinted Celica markers in my FS thread.

I figured you guys woulda been jumpin on em with as many PM's as i got when they weren't for sale! lol

Why do you go to UNT? Try UTD, its much closer and offers better teachers.
I was on Plano Rd. and it was about noon.

im going to UTD next year.
they were over applied for fresh apps so they told me to go quad c and then transfer over but im starting my major already so i went UNT for this year and then go over to UTD next year :)

As a UTD student myself, bring your "A" game to that school if you try engineering. The average intelligence of students that school is probably what would have you placed in the top 50 students at other public colleges. That was told to me by a former teacher at UNT that transferred to teach at UTD. She was a PhD student and the only reason why they gave her the job was because the class she was teaching there is maybe two other schools in Texas that offer the course.

Though if you a business major, be prepared to be picked on by the engineers....
BTW I am a Electrical Engineering student.

Also I have noticed they are over applied. There is no parking anymore. Plus the new freshman dorms were not completed in time so all the freshman got put in several hotels.

Changed thermostat. Car runs cooler than ever. 24 dollar overheating fix. Was worried I'd have to sell my firstborn to a shop to have it fixed. Whew!

Some things I did today, tinted my tail lights and side markers. Also took a picture of the suspension that is going in this weekend.

They turned out a little darker than I wanted them, mainly due to me not knowing how Nightshade sprays, I was having issues with how light it sprayed, but overall I think I like them. They look much darker in the shade, as you can see in the rear end pics of my car.

My process on the tail lights for those that are wondering:

- Sand tail lights with 1000 grit sandpaper, clean with degreaser
- Sprayed 2-3 coats of Nightshade, 5 minutes between each coat
- Let dry, sand with 1000 grit sandpaper, clean with degreaser
- Sprayed 3-4 coats of clear coat, 5-7 minutes between each coat

I've gotta buff them not, not sure how I will do it, I'll probably start with a nice clay, then rubbing compound, then do polishing compound, then scratch remover, followed by a wax. Any suggestions would be nice.
