What have you done to your P5 today?

So was the consensus that the MSP springs will sit unevenly on the P5? It sucks because I found a clean set for $40 shipped.

Matt, here are a couple things that'll help ya.

Post explaining a fix for the sag.
http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showpost.php?p=307272&postcount=53

Finally an explanation! I'm gonna definitely get a set and try this. Are you sure that's the fix for the MSP rear spring sag? Just looks like a fix for noise.

oh my bad it looks like it is a fix for the noise. Didn't read it thoroughly. Either way, 40 bucks is cheap as hell and I'm sure it won't be that bad. I actually may have an Eibach Pro-kit for sale here soon for pretty damn cheap though so you might wanna wait for that. lol

I doubt it's as cheap as $40 lol. That washer fix seems like it would make sense though for the sagging, since the washer can't go down to a certain point, the washers would help space it back up (or maybe I'm wrong).

To be honest, I have no idea. Now thinking about it, it wouldn't do anything for the sag. The strut has to sit in the same place regardless of how many spacers you put up there. That's just gonna solve any noise you might experience.

It doesn't look like it sags at all in that thread. I honestly don't know why people exaggerate it so much.

Got my MSP shifter in the mail today...maybe ill install it at work. lol Got the GT Spec lateral braces for the trunk cage. Does anyone have any insight to this? How does it feel?

OK! got the shifter installed....feels good! Does anyone know how to fix the gap between the shift boot and the shift knob on the MSP shifter?

Thanks!

When I installed my Kartboy SS, I bought a rubber grommet at home depot in the washer/dryer/plumbing section. It's basically a long rubber washer that pushed the boot up closer to the knob. Hope that helps.

i just got the 03.5 MSP knob and it screws further down eliminating that gap

and, i was lazy and couldn't bring myself to put up a part out thread lastnight

But, here's to hoping i can do it tonight :(

I was waiting.........

lol jk So what I did was use 3 LARGE zipties and stacked them on each other. Then at the top I placed a washer. And it works fine. my co-worker was like use washers. And i was like I dont want a whole bunch of washers. lol Works good.
