What have you done to your P5 today?

Chamois aren't good for drying your car, as Mr. Detailer said.. waffle weave towels are what he suggests for drying and thats what i use. Chamois dry good but can scratch the paint if anything gets caught underneath there when your drying.

Sunlight silver is an amazing color.

Speaking of detailing...
the rest of my detailing products finally arrived today :D

this means i can FINALLY go to town on my car - it's disgustingly dirty, inside and out since it hasn't been touched in 3 weeks... i'm actually ashamed to be driving around in it because i HATE a dirty car (peep)

will post pics of all my new goodies after supper (fyi, it's a LOT) (shocked)

oh yeah, before i forget... installed luminics titanium white bulbs hi and low last night. my only comment on replacing the low-beam bulbs: (pissed)

and as promised, pics of my detailing arsenal (shocked)

first attachment is what i started with last summer

next two attachments are what i have as of today. what you don't see are the 5 or 6 other spray bottles (for various concentrations of cleaning products), misc flannel rags (for under the hood/interior only), my Einszett Gummi Pflege (for rubber mouldings and weather stripping) that's still enroute, and of course, my original 'kit'.

yes, i know, i have a sickness.

I BLAME IT ALL ON MR DETAILER!!!!!!!! Never talk to a detailer unless you enjoy emptying your bank account. That being said, I don't expect that I will need to buy anything for a rather long time.

where's all the bug guts? it not dirty until you've killed 500 bugs.

a few years ago, we went to visit my cousins in Saskatchewan for a weekend in the summer. in town, they weren't too bad, but once you got out on the highway, the grasshoppers were very bad. we had to stop every 2 hours or so to clean the windshield and front bumper or else you couldn't see.

by the time i got home, the front end of my car was no longer blue - it was green and yellow. in by the fog lights, they were packed in so thick i almost thought i'd have to take the foglights out to clean in there properly (luckily i didn't).

for a few weeks after that though, whenever i got in the car, all you could smell was 'hopper guts, and for months after, i was cleaning the carcasses out of the engine bay. ewwww
