What have you done to your non-mazda today?

Dropped the non-Mazda off at the body shop yesterday to have the front bumper re-sprayed after it got hit by flying wood on the highway. Currently driving a rental Chevy HHR. It sucks, but not as badly as I expected it to. I actually love the radio controls!

Once the Mustang is painted, I'm putting it up for sale. It's been over a year, and I still don't love it. Too big, too clumsy, and I'm just not comfortable with the seating position/visibility/inability to figure out where the corners of the behemoth are! So, it's going away. I'm not sure what's going to replace it though.

Got it back from the shop, took some pictures and put it up for sale. It's in the FS section here, and on two Mustang forums, and on Craig'slist. Hopefully it sells soon so I can move on to the next machine!

I got to put in a new OE radiator and auxiliary water pump. yay!

ohh.. and put on these little things

Thanks. I got that thing running and did 2 swaps (auto to manual with a year change) and did the all wheel disc brake conversion off of the gst. The DSM forum mods said that it could not be done. So I did it and posted pics and the mods said cool but it would not run. So I upladed video and they deleated my posts. They are a bunch of close minded idiots and if you do anything outside the box you are wrong. Point of story that is the talon that is picuted above and parted out. It served its purpose which was keeping miles off of my mazda. Screw DSM nothing but problems.

hmmm sounds like the typical audi forum, if it's not with an APB in grey, silver, gunmetal or black you're ******* stupid :P

Sold the S2000 (sad2)

And bought something to tow the race-car with :D

2003 Nissan Pathfinder LE RWD. I'd have preferred a 4wd, but I got a great deal on the truck, so a deal breaker it was not. Car's in great shape, just needs to be detailed. Everything works, has a 6 disk CD changer (something I missed a lot from the Protege lol), and is SO friggin comfortable. And the VQ35 is a VERY nice power plant. Smooth, torquey, and will tow nicely :D. Yes, I could have gotten a truck to tow with, but I wanted something that I could lock & secure all my stuff in at an autocross or track event, so an SUV it had to be. Compared it to some US and other Japanese models, and as far as bang for buck, the Pathfinder just made sense to me :)

It's got about 130k. Only reason I was ok with it being that high mileage was the incredible condition it was in. Besides some stains and a couple minor dings, it looked like it had just been delivered.

RE the Bimmer: Nice! Would a modern 135/335 motor drop in? (evil)

Wheels on the Forester:

I think I will get other wheels eventually...those are 17s, looking for 18s...

Catless up pipe and replacement turbo also going in...

Installed an Oddessey Progressive Brake Controller

And a Flat 4 and 7-blade combo trailer wiring harness, so I can actually use the brakes / brake controller:

Trailer time!

^^^ Awesome! I need to do that on the Tacoma (stupid me should have just gotten the two package). What's the Pathfinder's towing rated at? Stupid Tacoma w/o tow package is only like 3500 lbs! When the warranty is out I'll be adding an oil cooler, brake controller and harness like you did.

It's rated at 6000 lbs. It's a bit more with a weight distributing hitch, which is what I'll eventually be getting.

I really like where I have the controller mounted (a buddy of mine has it in his glove box... that's helpful...). Having the O-SH** switch on the brake controller can get you out of a ton of scrapes, especially if the trailer starts trying to wiggle too much. Just put a bit of brake to the trailer and some throttle and it'll straighten right up.
