What have you done to your MSP today?

A funny thing is that a lot of murican cars (or parts at least) are made over seas and a lot of "import" cars are made in the states now. lolz. I mention that fact to murican car fan boys.

I'm no fan boy, I drive a Mazda for god's sake. I am well aware of the globalization of the economy.

Lol. My God, that blue though... Such a perfect color.

The blue is pretty, but I would never trade for an MP3. Wouldn't be a bad daily/2nd car but I would never give up the turbo. Put a boost controller and AFC on your car and you will forget about wanting an mp3.

Alternator is bad on #1574 (unamused) That didn't take long. Damn things are $200, probably going to get a $30 one from the JY tomorrow.

Any of you SCCA guys, specifically in Ohio, know of John Mills? I was at the gas station down the road from the shop and saw an RX3SP on a trailer. We talked for a few minutes. Nice guy. Seems to know his stuff!

Yeah the guy isn't answering so its prolly not gonna happen. Guess its time to do everything to my msp that was on the mp3.

recommendations on antirollbar links? all i can find on ebay are whiteline and some obscure ebay brands. the whitelines look ok, but i was hoping to find throughbolt balljoints to never have to deal with the hex stud bs again.. i guess i could just put some never seize on and find some boots to cover everything up all nice.. still.. $122 usd. seems excessive for what the thing does.. maybe mcmaster again.

Well the $200 ebay turbo at 22psi didn't last long. I bragged on how well it was running and cleaned it all up this morning and sure enough it starts bypassing oil and only building to 15psi. I initially thought it was on for 4,500 miles, then I realized I magically added 2,000 miles to how long it actually lasted. I got 2,500 miles out of it. I didn't pay for it and it didn't catastrophically fail, so I'm okay with that. Gonna start looking for another turbo I guess. It was running so well these past few days. I had it a little more rich, but it was smooth and didn't have any choppy spots or slight areas of hesitation. It was a blast to drive and got to just show off a little with a few cars this week.

No, but I was looking into getting Whiteline lower control arm bushings earlier. I've looked before and they're only $35 for the horizontal bushings. I got new Moog control arms about 8,000 miles and they're in good shape and nothing is wrong with them, ball joints or bushings, but once I saw how cheap the whiteline bushings were and how easy the control arms are to get on and off and just bring them to work with me one day and press them in/out.

Are there any polyurethane sway bar bushings that are a direct replacement and/or do NOT require any modification? It's time to change my rears. My fronts are still good. Not sure how that happened. I think they've got about 12k on them now. I put three of the four end links on when I first got the car because one had been recently replaced. Then when I replaced the control arms and tie rods I warranty exchanged all the end links just to have a fresh suspension. Everything is still in good shape except for the rear sway bar bushings and I want to start tightening up the chassis some without going crazy and expensive. Any recommendations?

gonna cost $191 usd to go custom.. but thats before exhange and shipping. problem is the description on the ebay ones is vague. stock p5 length is 10.5 front and 6.25 rear to centers. I think i want to go a little longer in the front, ala msp, but shorter in the rear to tuck the bar up a little better. p5's and es's hang the thing down low for some reason.

you should look into the cr3 relocation kit pref. comes with bushings i believe. the awr ones i got in 2011 have a 1/16" gap to the bar now lol. they slop around vary badly.
