What have you done to your MSP today?

I would stay if I could rationalize 3 cars for one person and I had unlimited funds.

same here im staying, i dont care how mad i may get at my MSP when it decides to act up ill always keep it. first car i ever purchased from a dealer ill keep it until it nothing but rust and bolts haha. and i agree with VIPMSP, im waiting on some warmer weather or whenever i have free time at my shop to install all the new goodies i bought from scratchnsniff and from Ryan as well.

Drove in to work on the back twisty roads so I could check out the grip of the new shoes. She was pulling hard in the +/- 35 degree morning air and took many curves & corners with not a slip of any kind in traction. Walked into the shop from the parking lot with a grin on my face..

Glad to hear a chorus of "Hell No we won't go!" from other MSP owners.

only reason i wont go is because i wont get anything nearly as quick for what i payed for mine... but then again mine came built (yippy) i just had to swap some parts.

Well, more worry free as far as spinning a bearing lol other stuff breaking is always possible hahaha

I honestly think that if the oil starvation was not an issue, my set up would have put down the numbers it did for quite a while. I killed her by switching to r-comps for auto-x, and the street, lol.

Oh well, better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all, right?

So I got the 3 new forks today and third gear, s*** is going in this weekend and ill have the car back on the road finally. I hate that stupid car with a passion but god do I miss it.

I didn't want to let my msp go.....just couldn't deal with hating her for the things I was going through with the guy fixing here....

and btw will probably be getting her replacement this weekend.....pics to come...

Does anyone know where I can get a new set of pullys that aren't to expensive ? My belts are squealing really loud and they are fearly new and don't need them to snap off again ...

fix your belts? if they didn't squeal before you changed them, it's not your pulleys.

^+1 Probably not the pulleys. 99% of the time squealing is because of tension issues.

It's manly the alternator belt that does it , I thought it was the belts so I replaced them both and they still were squealing and getting that burning smell ,... Then the alternator belt snapped off and replaced that again and is still doing it ... It's manly when it's wet out and will do it for the first 5 min of running , on wet days it will do it on an off as I'm driving... So that's why I was thinking it might be the actual pullys ...

If a pulley goes bad it usually snaps off or is bent in a accident. They just don't go bad. Check the alignment with the belt while the car is running, but if it is just doing it when it is started or wet it probably is either a cheep belt, pulley is out of alignment somehow?, or most likely too much or too little tension.

So my best bet is to get some new belts , the ones on there are just from autozone so they are prob crap ... Any suggestion on decent belts ?

gates, goodyear, oem from the stealership.

play with the tension by moving the alt a little and see if that helps first. always do everything you can to not spend money first and go from there.

I would mess around with tension first. I have used AZ belts and haven't had any problems with them. I've snapped 2, but that was because of tensioning and or my PS pump locking up.
