What have you done to your MSP today?

I guess we are on seperate pages. I know nothing if e85. Which is why I didn't contribute. I was just stating that he wouldn't need be gas lines for methanol injection.

Don't you have some gto forums to be lurking on?

In other lsx powered news, kinda considering selling the miata and rx7 when the msp is back up and buying a c5 zo6. Just a thought though.

I need to install the haltech and tune the car badly. I cant go above 4500rpm without getting stupid codes about maf high input. It pulls pretty hard up to that point though.

Up for grab soon : 2860rs, ssafcv2 and a few more items.

I was stuck at work... apologies.

GTO is long gone, but yes, I still am an active poster on those forums too. Sorry I'm still here to correct an erroneous post. My bad.

calm down Carl I was just fn with you. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to the gto? Guess I missed it

From a price standpoint, right now, no, not worth it. I metered out my FlexFuel capable vehicle, and lost 26% of my fuel economy by switching to E85. That means it needs to be 26% cheaper to break even. BUT, on an engine that is known for throwing rods when it knocks, it may be worth it to have both the added cooling effects, the higher horsepower numbers, and increased octane. Also, measuring against 87 octane in a car that is tuned for 92.. not exactly a good comparison.

My comparison was for price comparison and loss in mpg's. Since we all run 92 or higher I figured it would be a given that everyone can add 20-25 cents more with out me spelling it out. While the cooling and higher octance for less detenation would be better, that still doesn't fix the poorly designed oil system which causes the rods to to knock and be thrown.

Didn't get anything car related at all this Christmas but the thing car realted I asked for was a 383 stroker for my Camaro

ordered some bronze oil shifter bushings from corksport to go with the kartboy shifter :D

Have some nice goodies to install on the MSP here soon:

SS brake lines
KB SS
Shifter Bushings
KB Shifter linkage bushings
YellowSpeed Coilovers

:D I think that will freshen the car up a bit for getting to 100k miles.

Ok....so the clutch line shares the same reservior as the brakes...so according to the FSM to bleed the clutch you need to siphon the fluid out of the reservior then detached the line to drain. Then fill and go through the bleeding procedure...

Now, since the reservior had been emptied do you need to bleed the brakes as well?

No, as long as the system wasn't operated and allowed air to enter the system. If you depressed a pedal, then yes, you will need to bleed them.
