What have you done to your MSP today?

I looked at a new focus st the other day.....just looked. Was afraid if I test drove it I'd walk away with another car payment.

or you could be really disappointed with the handling.

Valve stem seals. Incredibly common problem on FS motors. The oil leaks down into the combustion chamber after pooling at the valve stem seal when the engine has cooled down.
BAH! That's what my first thought was, but I had multiple people tell me that it wasn't that and that it was an issue with the valve covers allowing oil into the PCV valve.

Anyone know if the DocB oil pump upgrade is still available? This may be the determining factor on whether I rebuild her or not.

Coilovers? Those of you with them, what brand are you running? Opinions? Recommendations?

CR3 seems to have the best pricing on those yellowspeed coilovers...I'll probably be going with those when I'm ready. Think he has a GB going.

well it depends on what you want them for. Do you wan't them so you can handle better or do you just want to go lower? i got my d2's because they ride super smooth and absorb bumps really well. I was tired of super bumpy/stiff suspension.

Handling.

Like I said on FB, I love my Fortune Auto coilovers. You can't argue with results, and I was the fastest FWD at the last autocross. This is against built to class STS 89' Civic Si, and a STS built CRX.

Plus custom spring rates w/ matching struts, and they are located in Virginia (semi-local).

Yeah, it is.

I really think I spun a bearing before it snapped the rod (light ticking from 2300-3000rpm), and I have an AWR pan, so if my problem is the oiling system, a DocB is probably the only fix. But then, do I really want to mess with a platform with so many problems...

So I decided last night I'll be putting the motor that was in the msp back in it once the body work has finished. Then build the custom turbo mani and dp and do the wire tuck, that way if it doesn't start, I don't have to worry about it being the freshly built forged motor
