What have you done to your MSP today?

I'm being threatened by the Mexican lollipop guild because I made fun of a guys 98' Expedition on 22s and his 86' RX7 "drift" car- it's bone ******* stock except for a muffler welded on and some wheels...

made a lot of progress today. All 4 mounts bolted up, turbo assembly is in the engine bay, lca's replaced, drivers side axle in, and I mocked up my ic piping so it could be cut.

+1, I'll definitely be doing this when the time comes since my hot pipe is close as hell to the MAM manifold.
OAN: Im throwing in the towel on the car. It will be going to a friends shop soon. The guy has been following progress on my car and has rebuilt and modded a few proteges to include MSPs for local people in my area. He told me to bring it by whenever I get tired of screwing around with it. So, Im taking him up on his offer. Very good shop with quality work and great turnaround times. Shop has supported the Fort Hood area for a long time and I have seen some insane builds come out of this shop from built and boosted p5's to twin turbo supras and 700+hp Evos.

Good luck! I hope it turns out to be something simple.

thanks and yeah, he told me not too long ago that most of the time the symptoms I am having are usually from a vac leak. Since the car runs without the MAF plugged up and dies when it is plugged in, it is a vac leak and the car shuts off due to the MAF detecting the unmetered air. He said since I already swapped almost all the sensors out with no luck, he would take it and do a leak test for me and let me know what he finds since spraying carb cleaner isn't really working for me and he said it isn't 100% anyway.

Not sure if you wanna try it before taking it in, but Seafoaming my car worked really well in searching for my exhaust leak. It might be worth a shot just see what you can find beforehand.

you won't find a vac leak using seafoam. It's easy to find an exhaust leak with it because the smoke created gets pushed out of where ever the leak is. With a vac leak, air is sucked in to where ever the leak is so I wouldn't be able to find it anyway

Got quotes on a bunch of parts for getting the car back on the road/build last night. Fairly happy with the outcome. Now to wait for cash flow lol

power steering pressure sensor right? What kind of symptoms would you get if it broke.. would the power steering still work?

Weren't you asking about this yesterday? Or was that someone else?

It senses a difference in pressure and "ups" the idle when it senses that extra load.
