What have you done to your MSP today?

Got my 2871 in yesterday.....everything was great till i checked the turbo for shaftplay......it had some side to side and i was like ****. Then it hit me that ill have some shaft play until i actually run some oil through it. Ahh journal bearing turbo's how i love thee. Here's a picture of it

What is it's purpose, and what is the benefit of bypassing it?
I can't fathom a single reason for bypassing it in hopes of any type of gain, but Michael just bypasses everything in his car I think... haha

From what I've read it changes the rate to a 1:1 rate. I would have to find it again. And the other local guy who could back me up was banned lol
 
I just installed a Walbro. All I needed was the pump. Reused my sock, and had to use a zip tie to secure the pump to the holder, because you do have to trim some of the plastic to make it work.
 
No install kit needed it's a cake job but buy replacement phillips head screws for the ones you remove to get the pump out. They chew up easily trying to get them out. You may want a pair of vice grips close by just in case.

I just figure mine has 240k miles may as well replace it while I haz the money instead of being stranded
 
should. They are the same seats and I don't believe the bolsters are any different.
