What have you done to your MSP today?

Wellllll......

A few things.

First off, made a typo on my Gen Coupes run.
My mph was 105, not 108.

Secondly... and aggravatingly (maybe just my good nature), I'm eating this post right here:

washed my MSP, vacuumed it out, cleaned out all belongings out, waxed it, parked it in the garage, and threw a cover over it.
New owners pick it up from me on monday.

Can't say I'm missing it.

Read that last sentence.

Held the car for 2 weeks for the buyer, bought my new car using money from my savings, and smiled.
Even had a deposit from the buyer for my MSP... should of figured this would go sour.

Well, and I'm not sure how this happened, but long story short, their bank went back on them. Even after I was called by their bank saying they were approved and getting the loan, apparently they did not.
It has something to do with a time period on their end (buyer). Supposedly they waited too long to submit some paperwork...

If thats real, they're full of s***, or whatever, I have no idea.

All I know is I have 3 cars in my driveway...

Ugh...

for $20 you can have just 2...

sucks about the buyer, hope you kept their deposit

wow, I've been working at a bounce house job, going on the 8th summer, before that I had a crappy job at Bobs stores and then installing irrigation for a summer which blew, which basically you deliver, set up, clean, and take away those moon bounce houses that kids play on, there are some pretty damn big ones, like a 28ft duel water slide, but I was their first employee and usually work between 40-70 hours a week @$15 an hour (70 only a few weeks out of the summer) and it is a rare market but there are some section in lower CT and NY that have more money than they know what to do with haha, but the last 2 years they have cut down on hours and hired more people (which is mainly because they are finally completely on the books, use to be half and half, and I guess they don't want to pay anyone overtime,) but anyways I use to make between 8-10k a summer, 10 being only 1 summer, but usually I make around 7-8k, working my ass off haha,

I put $10k into my car for my first msp, (had insurance money from my previous car to buy the msp) but ya, right now I'm starting to look for a real job and taking a break from actually putting a lot of money into the car, need to save up for an apartment hopefully when I move down to FL if I can find a job down there related to my degree (Biology), then it's back to putting some money into the car for the final build (or at least the most expensive built so far for me), can't wait to see what the car can do, then I will probably just save up for a DD and keep the msp for fun

Dude... I'd do almost anything if I knew I was gonna make $15 an hour. Not many jobs 'round here.

spent a bit of time cleaning up the wiring for my ssafc and pre-wiring everything using bullet connectors. if i feel like it tommorrow, ill pull out the ecu and cut the wires i need to, bullet them and plop the afc in, though not sure if i have enough vac line.

^ Its ok to use those connectors. Unless you really mess it up, or you have your SSAFC in the engine bay..... Ive had mine done that way for about a year now with no issues.

So, I got outran by my buddies 72' Chevelle (8.0sec 1/8th mile, 3400lb w/driver, car) yesterday. :( Sad day.

I need NOS. Two of the big bottles.

I didn't want my afc to be perm in case i do decided to off the car for some reason. ill keep this in the cabin and drill a new hole in the firewall for the vac line on the pass side near one of the groumets. I would have used gold plated bullets but they are a lot more expensive. i paid like $6 for 3 of them for my rccar motor/esc wires.

but, i've used these on computer power supply nip/tucks and there is a LOT more current involved in that.

challenge him to a slalom course

Oh I know (and he knows) I'll kill him at the autocross, or through backroads, I just haven't been outran many times (once or twice), so it sucks. I'm depressed now.

On top of that, after I left the shop yesterday I went for a drive down backroads, and was driving a little spirited, when I got to the end I could smell brakes. Never had an issue before, so I assume now I need new pads, cause the EBC rotors look fine,a nd aren't warped. I guess these basic Hawk pads don't last too long when used in anger. Time to upgrade to EBC Yellow or Red.

ya I know, I got pretty lucky getting this job when I did, make a good chunk of change working in the summer, the hours are crazy and the boss is real dick but oh well, hopefully by the end of the summer I'll be down south with a good job

hm, thats strange because when I was looking for new brakes before, and ordered the EBC yellow I think it was from Ken @PG, he suggested the Hawk racing pads, said they were better, unless the Hawk pads you were talking about were not the racing kind...

Standard Hawk Pads. They did go through a full season of auto-x, and me driving down TN backroads rather briskly, so can't really fault them too much.

I'm considering a move to Texas after this summer.

I'm sitting on my front porch waiting for a package to get here. Was told the 9th so it better be here today... Cause I'm a true gangsta I don't go ape s***, I go elephant turd!

I've run EBC greens and reds as well as Hawk HPS, strictly in auto-x and daily driving. The Hawk HPS pads are above and beyond better for bite and noise. The EBC greens are better for dust, but I don't give a crap about brake dust. EBC reds are good, but did not have the bite the Hawks do. They may need more time to heat up, but auto-x runs aren't long enough. I'm a big Hawk pad fan.
