What have you done to your MSP today?

might be dumb cause its raining and i didnt reset the ecu yet, but normal to have a cel after changing out the cold pipe?

Nah. i think when i forgot to plug the maf in, and went to start it, it freaked out. plugged it back in, cel came on.

just reset the car and the cel is gone.

my stock cold pipe got cracked somehow, which is why i baught this lot of 2.25" alu piping. just coupled and clamped a few peices of it together to make a new pipe.
sometime when i have more time/tools ill be technowelding some pipes together to make one peice hot and cold pipes. almost baught a replica greddy today but decided installing sportlines was more important ;)

I would not recommend a one piece Hot or Cold pipe, Due to the way the motor rocks in every which direction as your Front mount is bolted still. Unless you have super stiff motor mounts.. I originally made both my Hot & Cold piping as an one piece and the shortest routing possible, but realized it needed some kind of flex.. Good luck though. Just my 2cents..

maybe a two peice design with hump couplers then. right now my cold pipe is like... 3 peices all clamped together. not gonna touch the hotpipe yet though. i need to figure out this technoweld stuff and i need a proper mitre saw/cut off wheel.
I have 70dm awrs all around so motor doesn't move.

got pretty lucky with my score though =) 2 full 26" straight pipes, a untouched 70 pipe, 4-5 L pipes that had been cut but were probably U pipes to begin with.

though i can see why installing an fmic would be rough. doesnt look like there is a lot of room without slip fans.

I'm still running the Stock Fans with 2.25" Hot piping and 2.5" Cold piping with a MAM Thumper kits Front mount intercooler and it is a Monster. I had to cut the Crash bar to fit it. If I remember correctly the FMIC is 8" tall. Also my Turbo is in the stock location.
You may think your motor doesn't rock but it does..Ride with your hood off and watch it while you get on it..

Got my hood dampers in today for my cf hood no more propping it up with a 2x4 lol. Also took some pictures of it last night for the first time in a long time

Not bad considering the paint left the factory 8 years ago this month...

Hm... I'll post this here aswell this time to see if anyone can help at all.

"I do not really know how I missed it; but the EGR is on backwards and the plug isn't in. I found that after I tried to turn her over. Which she cranked then it slowed down cranking and clicked and smoke came from wires. Well a wire.... I'm not happy cause I need my car running and this is pissing me off on how nothing is f^*king working for me on This build! Seriously now!

But it's one of the wires on te brass? Bracket on the head on the right rear. One of the wires is burning up along with what I am guessing is the other end which would be behind the battery on that grounding block?? It's a white plastic thing. It's the connector all the way on the left. I think I have to replace the whole wire... FML! But anyone know what it grounds???
"

question; do you have to cut the bumpstop when lowering an msp?

its at the end of the shaft of the strut. for best explination look at the how-to

I sold my MSP this weekend :(, A part of me is torn a part and the other part is loving my new ride. I went out and got an '06 530i and it's a really sweet ride. The MSP went for $8,500 so I felt like I had to sell it. what you guys think? It had a 118,000 mile on it with all the listings i have. Would you have sold yours?
