Turn Signals: V-led 5K HID WHITE AMBER DUAL COLOR TYPE 2 CHANGING SWITCHBACK 92 LED

I will make another run of brackets if I can sell at least 3 sets...

where did you get those turn signals? I have been experimenting with different turn signal LED colors, I have tried blue so far, it was too blue (was looking for a white/blue) and the white ones I ordered should be coming in tomorrow or sometime soon, but I am not sure if it is illegal to have any color turn signals other than amber/orange, anyone know? if not for ct then any other places people know this is illegal or not? but I assume that yours are white, then turn amber when you put the turn signal on, right? or what.. I'd be interested in trying them out if it turns out the white ones are illegal for ct, if they don't cost a crap load lol

They are $80 a set:

PLEASE let us know if your fpr fixes it. I think just about everyone is getting that P0170 code!

Sorry, the new FPR didn't solve the problem.

For anybody reading this, I've got major stumbling, erratic idle problems, drastic loss of low and mid-range power, and "System too lean" check engine code.

I have steady -16 to -20 mm/Hg vacuum, so I'm pretty sure it's not a vacuum leak. My turbo boosts up very well and maintains pressure level consistently.

Damian (boostdprotegelx) and I are going to replace the intake manifold gasket and try to change the IAC valve body (I previously only replaced the solenoid) too see if these measures might solve the problem.

I have so far:
* replaced both O2 sensors with new OEM-style Bosch units
* replaced fuel pump with new Walbro 255lph (which actually helped restore some top end power until the CEL came back on)
* replaced the FPR with a new one
* replaced the MAF
* replaced all fuel injectors with new units
* replaced EGR valve with brand new Canadian version
* replaced IAC solenoid with brand new unit
* replaced the vacuum pressure check valve between intake manifold runners 1 & 2
* replaced the entire electrial wiring harness

SUGGESTIONS AND/OR ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I might buy a new fuel rail to see what happens.
I'll update you all on this when new info becomes available.
I am getting a bit frustrated now...

Im pretty sure its called a fuel pulsation dampner not pressure. From what i remember that keeps the flow smooth, cause not all injectors fire at the same time, it creates pulsation in the fuel so that unit counteracts the pulseations and creates a smoother flow.

Id imagine it wouldnt be the issue. I could be wrong but if it failed it woul probably leak, otherwise i cant imagine it would cause that big of a deal, most aftermarket fuel rails eliminate them altogether.

Thanks for the info! (thumb)

Lol... I know what it is. I missed it in your list and was offering it up as something else to check. My bad...

And for what its worth, I still question your vac readings, since you said they fluctuate between 16-20. Mine fluctuates very little and is consistently between 23-24 (23 when I turn on the AC).
Relative to my 24, 16-20 represents a 17% to 33% decrease in vac pressure.

I may be picking up a set of 16x16.5 steelies with 205/60R-16 tires. Will this fit on the msp? I have no idea how to figure that kind of stuff out

matrix, my guess is to try coilpacks if u haven't already. believe autozone has the cheapest price if ur on a budget. 20 something each and we only need 2

LOL, I was wondering.."I know this guy knows what a MAF is..."

It is at -16 with the a/c on and fans blowing, and it is at -20 or so when the a/c is off. You're right, my vacuum readings do seem a bit low; I will check my vacuum lines again and try to replace my IAC valve body.

I replaced the coilpacks and wires last summer, but thanks for the suggestion. Even if they were bad, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't cause a "system too lean" CEL.

Did you do anything to the exhaust side of the engine? Beleive it or not, i had an exhaust leak on my CS s to j pipe and got the same code. It will also lean the car out (verified by my wideband, with leak i was hitting 17 afr idle), and messes with idle and vac. I assume its cause the cars trying to compensate for some reason. By exhaust side i mean anything past the head.

I have no idea how it knows there's a leak post engine but it somehow does (not sure how far down matters though cause my resonator cracked and it didnt throw the code, maybe before 2nd 02?)

Im honestly not making this up.

will they rub? I could give two s**** about it raising the drive height since it is a winter setup and being a little higher in the snow is not necessarily a bad thing

only possible rubbing issue would be on the inner front of the front tires when at full lock. I currently have that and other than a little melting of the splash guards and rubbing off my undercoating, its not an issue. If I end up going with another 245 front tire, I'll probably try to up the spacer a tad, but I'm not going to worry about it until this set (and my next set of tires, which are 225s) are burned up, and with any likelyhood I'll be selling the car about then.

Being 205 tires this may also be a non-issue, but I think IF you have one, that'll be the most severe one i predict.
