What have you done to your MSP today?

no prob man good luck with the build you shud be fine at 10psi tho.. jist watch for boost spikes n methonal is def great thing to have
 
Ohhh.. hmm, thank you very much for the info, I kinda had an idea that was the case, but wasn't really sure, that makes sense.. well looks like I will be saving up for the disco potato turbo sometime kinda soon.... not sure when because I have to save up for my cross country road trip but ya that will be next on my list, thanks for the heads up.. I usually keep it around 9.5-10 at most but it usually is around 9ish, I will keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't go higher

and ya I knew about the meth generally, that will be one of my later things to do, first the turbo, then the forged internals and a few other goodies

i think its crazy how some manifold have a o2 bung lol does it make any kinda difference the first sensor being on the manifold or on the downpipe??

yes meth is awesom. i finally fixed my misfire problem this week so i been gettin on it a bit since i haven't hit WOT in like 3weeks lol so i was using up meth after i was done i opened my hood and felt my IM and that thing was like ice cold lol not to mention its pretty cool that flames shoot out the back at shifts sometimes lol
 
i cudn't do more the 25% throttle, or higher then like 7psi with out it sputtering/misfirin it sucked!! i kept pullin p0138 and p0131 codes which are sensor 1 n 2.. i replaced both sensors literally rrewired both n i also had 02 simulator on sensor2.. but those codes kept comin up and i cleaned all sensors, egr, maf etc.. nothin changed ended up puttin new coilpacks wires and plugs car was perfect even at idle when i turned it on u cud literally hear a difference in tone n idle was strong and steady.. n i don't even have my IAC connected lol

damn all that extra work for coil packs/plugs going out! Oh well at least you know you wont have issues with those parts now.

Precisely, i mean alot of our engines blow up cause we up the boost, mod it, etc. Its just a regular protege engine. Mazda did nothing to support the boost. Once you start upping the HP, its pretty much a time bomb. Meth helps, but the block just doesnt support alot of hp.

Dont get me wrong, i love my car, and its alot faster than stock, but i know it can throw a piston at any time.

emmm i'm around 280whp DD on a stock block so with the right mods and good tune these cars can do pretty damn good on stock engines.. but honestly i won't push it anymore then i am now until i forge

well you are one of the lucky ones, ive seen quite a few blow at much lower hp. Have you seen our rods? They look like babyback rib bones lol

I was just pointing out that its not really a boost supported engine, i mean base it has what 110-120whp? so you being at 280 more than doubles the engine output stock. Your definately lucky, good tune or not.
 
ya I know what you guys are talking about, as far as meth and stuff, I just don't plan on keeping the stock internals too to long, as soon as I get a job and get the money I'm building this thing lol, along with the bigger turbo, just don't have the money now after saving up for my road trip

and ya, the stock rods are the width of my pointer finger, and skinny in the middle because of the I beam (right?) but ya they are super small

Got my WB connected to my SSAFC. Also got my Split Second and J&S installed in the kick panels. Carbon fiber grill and VIS hood installed.
