What have you done to your MSP today?

just be careful with the boost controller, that thing spikes pretty good when my brother had it on his car, but might be able to tune it well enough to keep that under control

yea they originally tuned it with the spike in. You can tune the boost map in the unichip to eliminate the boost spike

well today I didn't drive my msp, but I finally took apart the bottom end of the block that my brother's msp had, the blown one (the guy had boosted to about 20-25psi with a Garret GT25 with AR 60 and a T3 compressor housing turbo.. on stock internals, every single other thing was built.. but the damn internals...(blowup)(loser)) and now I have the only surviving rod/piston cleaned up and hanging from the curtain hanger thing in my room as a memento lol

but anyways that was fun, it was the first time I have seen the inside of an engine, he had blown 1 piston ring, bent 1 of the rods and another rod had blown about 5 very large holes into the block.. he did some work lol

but anyways I though the nut that holds the oil cooler on there was 27mm, but I guess not seeing as the one I got doesn't fit.. anyone know the size so I don't have to keep going back to autozone to switch sockets.. and I don't wanna buy a couple because there $10 a piece for deep socket 1/2" drive...

EDIT: oh also got my windshield chip repaired.. the actual crack on the inside isn't going to go away just because it was an internal crack but not open to the outside.. but oh well, glad to have most of it repaired and so it should be a little studier now so it will be less likely to crack in the future

dont know if you found this out yet but the msp oil cooler nut is 29mm

again, thank you, now I just have to find a place that has a 29mm deep socket lol, I think I saw one around somewhere, thought it might have been 28mm but luckily it's not because no one at all has that hah

If it helps, 29mm converts to 1 & 5/32 US. 1 & 1/8 would be a tad too small and 1 & 3/16 would be a little sloppy.

Yea ill keep the mb wheels for street use. Gonna slap some sticker tires on the fd wheels for track/autox/mountain runs.

In a couple of years, you probably will. Right now, they would sit in my basement for the next two years collecting dust. These helped pay for my BC coilovers though so I'm not sad at all :D

I just wanna see some more mounted up on pros because mine are sitting in my damn living room because I can't justify buying rubber for em when I've got good summer rubber on my racing harts.. I found a set of used azenis 615s I may pick up just so I can get em rolling.

if its a metric bolt you prolly should use a metric wrench imo a stripped bolt is not worth the chance, especially on your block

it shouldn't be torqued super hard, and when you get that big, it should be totally doable.

I used my metric 6 point sockets for standard bolts ALL the time when I was working for briggs and stratton. but I was always working on new bolts, no corrosion etc.

you had FD wheels and you wanted to get rid of them?!?!

Glad these FD's are going to someone that'll actually use them :D

Yea, cant wait to get them. I was thinking about painting them gunmetallic. Or keep them primed. See how they look on my car. As for tires im leaning torward star specs. But ill have to go 225/50 tho. (spin)
