What have you done to your MSP today?

Finally got my front end links replaced. Those stockers are a HUGE PITA. Oh my god, Mazda engineers failed hard at designing those. I ended up have to break them all off, then torch out the remaining bolt/nuts because Minnesota salt wreaks havoc on suspension parts.

Also replaced the PCV valve with the millenium one, and put the brackets on for the rear clunk fix but then had to order new rear sway bar end links because I had to break the stockers off also. No rear end links + no rear sway bar = the most silent ride I've ever had in my MSP. Hopefully it stays that way once I instal the sway bar with the clunk fix and new AWR end links.

Went to advance and the test came out well. I'm happy for that, but I still don't know if the light will come back on (i'm sure it will)...

almost forgot...the guy that checked everything for me asked if the car was turbo because he saw all the piping (lol) and of course what is the only question he asked?

"How many pounds is it?"

LOL gotta love it.

Has it occurred to you that if he checked everything over and then asked if the car was turbo'd, that he might be the WRONG GUY?(hand)

He was only checking the charging system with the machine...so I don't think it matters lol. He printed out the paper proving it was good so I believe him.

pulled into the driveway after driving a crappy 2500ish miles in 4 days... thats 25% of the amount of miles ive put on my other msp and ive had it for almost 3.5 years

decided to go the wingless route..lol. Just to see what it would look like. Man, that old ass double sided tape put up a good fight trying to take it off. But some dental floss and an old credit card worked wonders. Credit card even did a good job getting the left over residue off of the trunklid. Here are a few pics. I will post better pics tomorrow during the day...then I have to go to Lowe's or Home Depot to get some plastic caps to cover up the holes until I can get some CF goodies(hood, trunk, roofcap, mirrors, interior..the whole nine yards) even a gas cap..lol

By the way, I know Im missing the MAZDASPEED badge. I don't like it so Ill probably try to get a custom "turbo" badge made or something

junk yards. I see them randomly on my journeys.

BTW- I do not recommend. I would just shave it personally....

mazdaspeed badge is dumb and turbo badge is not? Ok then...
he would hardly be the first to swap the mazdaspeed badge for a turbo one... why the need to criticize him for a personal preference? and he didn't say it was "dumb", he said he didn't like it.

someone's got a case of the mondays.

actually best way to cover up the holes is to go order a mazdaspeed badge from the MSM (i think dealer its like $15)...its an actual badge and will cover up the holes in the trunk. You can go one further and order the turbo badge from acura for the RDX turbo the font sort of matches. If i remember the VW turbo font doesnt really match

font doesn't match at all (VW is basically cursive), but IMO sometimes going with something that doesn't try to match ends up cleaner than something that "kinda matches, but not really" Especially with the stock satin badges, and then the turbo one being chromed.

somebody is thinking too hard about a simple statement. I didn't call him a name or anything...

in the end i replaced all my badges with chrome anyways but painting the badges is never a bad idea....personally just putting the MSM mazdaspeed badge on would work well. I know velocifero is running all body matched rear emblems with the MSM badge and RDX turbo badge and it looks perfect IMHO
