What have you done to your MSP today?

installed new custommsp smic bottom two bolts broke off, so that was 1 hour of bs. but runs nicer now, attempted to put the adp in but the hole were all off alittle and i dont have a drill to make em bigger at the moment so holding off on that for a bit.

I doubt that either of them produce their own hoses. For all I know they could be ordering from the same mass producer and re-labeling them. Russell makes their own and I've heard good things about them too.

btw... glad to hear your problem was just fuses and nothing more serious.

StopTech claims to make their own brake lines, and i would lean towards believing them since they do manufacture their own rotors and whatnot. Its not like a knockoff brand who distributes a lot of parts, all StopTech deals with are braking systems.

They were easy to install, came with all brand new parts for replacement (only the clips holding the hoses in place remained the same) and there was no guess work involved...

I got mine from Tri-Point. I could have saved $13 and gone elsewhere, but I figure that extra $13 goes towards keeping Mazda touring car racing alive...

^^I havent looked at Russells yet. Ill check them out.

Oh yea. Forgot to mention to u. You seem to have become the poster child for the doing the wrong thing when getting under ur car. lol

Thanks for sharing that...(encourage yeah... it was a two minute fix (tightening the nut holding the oil pressure wire on the sender) but I suppose thats long enough to have a car fall on you. I got razzed about it a lot and will never make that mistake again. I guess if posting the pic up on the forums keeps others from being that stupid and maybe killing themselves then I don't mind the embarrassment.

There have been a few people that I have not known directly but I knew people that knew them that have died because cars fell on them.

I just put jack stands on the 2 sides if I'm doing the front, and keep the actual jack up to support it if the jackstand fails, but usually if I have to do all 4 sides I will just put these big wooden blocks that I have under them, there the beams that I cut into 1ft long pieces about nailed together, works great

Oh thats fantastic to read after i just finished changing my clutch. Where the only thing holding up the motor and tranny above my head was the pass mm and a jack on the pan.
Dont gonna lie when i say torquing the rear mount bolts back on scared the piss out of me.

Finially sold my S and J pipes! Now once I get te $ I'm sending over to isport fr fenders!!!

People, 650 + shipping for carbon fiber fenders! 50% deposit (so 350$) do it people!!!

I wonder what the actual weight savings is between the hood and fenders. The CF hood I have in my basement must weigh a solid 30-40lbs less than the stock one...

My vis evo hood weighed 13lbs, same with my XC hood I have now... My stock was 40+ same with my trunk, the CF one was like 15lbs and the stocker with a spoiler was around 35-40lbs. And now with a gutted trunk, :) I like saving weight ad ppeerrrrrrtyyyy carbon fiber! Lol
