What have you done to your MSP today?

Got the oil filter sandwich plate and oil pressure sensor installed today. Tomorrow is the new vacuum block and vac lines...

It was a whole process.. I switched to a 626 mani, had to change out the EGR tube, couldn't get to it on the MAM mani no matter what (rusted on there) and couldn't get a grip on it. I ended up having to take the turbo and mani off just to be able to get to it. Then, to take off the top left bolt on the mani, I had to loosen the a/c compressor, and remove the bracket that bolts on right above the bolt. To remove the bottom right nut, I bought some 45 degree angle wrenches to get to that one. To get to the nut that was behind the downpipe in that tight spot, I pulled the mani loose and toward the front of the engine bay to give myself more room.

why did you take it off?

so a car won't pass emissions with a CEL will it? lol especially one with an 02 sensor problem.

if you didn't see my post a few pages back...i got P0131 and it said 02 sensor, bank 1 sensor 1. i can't remember if it said anything else or not. so does anybody know if that means there is something wrong with the exhaust manifold? or would it just be that the sensor went bad somewhere between removing it from the old mani and placing it in the steedspeed?

change your Bank 1 censor... Its the one on the turbo mani...

If thats what the CEL says, then yes. When you put it back in did you hit it on anything, or drop it? Might of messed it up, or it could be dirty so a new one is needed.

Unless you didnt tighten your mani down right when u installed it and its leaking... hahaha

i don't see anything funny about that

(squinty)

and i had a professional technician do the install, just like all my other mods. maybe he accidentally bumped it against something, who knows. guess i'll just have to hit up the dealer tomorrow.

edit: and i google'd msp obdII codes and it says "circuit low voltage" if that helps you out any.

^^ You were able to fit it in their with the stock oil cooler?

Yes... the only issue was needing to remove the joint (the threaded shaft that the filter threads on to) and cut about 3/4" off of it so I could get the sandwich plate to cinch down tight against the cooler. Also needed to go buy a 30mm deep socket to remove and re-tighten the nut that holds the joint up against the cooler.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that the MSP For Sale thread has changed (a lot of the posts have disappeared) and the Want To Buy and Cars For Sale Threads are gone altogether? Or is it just some weird glitch on my computer?
