What have you done to your MSP today?

could be the WGA itself...thats my problem right now, only I get turkey with it
I get turkey on a SSQV VTA, I've tried adjusting it to every possible tension.... but my boost held ROCK solid at 6 lbs on the old IC setup, and holds solid at a little over 7 now... no CEL, runs great (idle actually improved since the FMIC, as long as I don't blow off right before).. 10-12 lbs of vac is all I can manage though.

yeah you have a definite problem...I actually dis-assembled the SSQV and checked that everything was still alive...sometimes the valve rusts a little and needs some love...either that or the diaphragm is busted

I had it pulled apart and everything looked good... seemed like the appropriate amount of spring tension... moved freely and everything felt properly oiled... it releases when it should... I just don't think its opening as fast/much as it is supposed to. I think/hope my lack of proper vacuum is the problem with turkeying, i just can't locate the leak.

my ssqv is actually disappointingly quiet.. I think its cuz theres still a problem with a vac leak somewhere... can't figure out where though, all the vac hoses for the WGA/BPV were replaced...

wagonbacker...did you tap ur hks into ur brake booster...that is ur most powerful vac source....try to tap into the brake booster and then try it out...i had the same thing a hks on my old msp...i hooked it up to a regular vacuum line and it didn't sound loud...but then i tapped it into my brake booster and the difference was night and day..but yeah u still definately got a vac leak first...so figure out where it's coming from and then tap into the break booster vacuum line

BUT, I have a Turbo XS RFL.... Mines louder then most people at higher PSI, kinda sad.

yeah, that would be a lil much for me. I went with the purple insert just to tone it down a bit... but right now it doesn't sound a WHOLE lot different than recircing with a cone filter on all stock parts otherwise.

the boost gauge, ssqv, and WGA are currently running off of the port on the top of the intake mani on all brand new vac lines, with 2 T's... A vac block prb isn't a bad idea.. but either way I need to find my leak and I don't have a CLUE where it would be, my vac was 8 lbs about a month ago when I put the boost gauge in.. and it slowly dropped to about 5 lbs.

a week and a half ago I replaced the PCV, and swapped the vac lines, vac went up to 10 lbs... I installed the FMIC, vac went up to 10-12...

anybody: where else should I be looking for a leak?

I love just blowing off near people, and they look. I dont even have a exhaust haha. (boobs2)

that is your problem, just go to autozone or some place like that and get a t fitting, cut to the left of the check valve in the bb and run a dedicated line to the bov (until you get a vac block) and cap off the line that used to run to the bov off the manifold. should fix the problem.

theres a leak elsewhere that is the problem. I'd just leave the boost gauge on that fitting regardless.

someone know the size of the BB line off hand?

realized today that i'm gonna need to source a rear lip as my msp doesn't have a rear lip! already sourced the front lip. gettin a DG lip:)

so, within the first week of me having the msp, i'll be- selling the racing hart wheels,(putting my evo 5s on the car), putting a dg lip on, selling the msp shift knob and shifter, and..idk what else. maybe gettin an exhaust and selling the stock one.oh and getting SS brake and clutch lines.

Just curious since you had that T3/T4 on their but I couldn't recall ever seeing you talk about the internals.

The psi would of to be way low on stock internals no?

What are you aiming for?.........or is it a secret? (glare)
