What have you done to your MSP today?

Excessive idling in traffic kills milleage. When I traveled in my car I'd get over 35 mpg everytime. I usually I get 25+mpg. Keep track of it every single time, it will raise your milleage because your more conscious of what you do to make it waste more fuel. I love building boost and shifting at the rev limiter but that wastes a lot of gas. I don't have to drive it every day so I don't care what the milleage per gallon is often, as long as I enjoy it.

The SC61 would've been more fun (yippy)

Sounds like me I drive like 50-60 miles every day I work... no telling what I drive on my days off.

If I drove the MSP as much as I drive my work truck It'd have 400k. I often drive 200miles a day and sometimes ever 1000 in a day. Poor truck. That MSP must be sitting happy waiting for it's oil to be changed every other time it's driven more than a week at a time.

I don't write down my mileage but I do check it every time I fill up and it also gives you a good idea how your driving habits are and not to mention the condition of your car as well. Plus its kinda fun to see your gas mileage go up.

Just reset the trip meter every time you fill up. Devide the miles to the fuel or is it the other way. Regardless you'll see it quick. I have been doing that for years and I do the math in my head most of the time.

Ok so I finally got my MSp back from the mechanic. New motor feels beautiful! Also the new clutch feels solid. No more Valve-Tick or weird noises coming from my engine compartment anymore. Here's a pic of the Thunder mani.

My mileage will be great next year being as i will be living on campus while at law school. so the mpg will rise and the mileage on the car will fall, YAY!

After talking with Ken from PG this weekend we have come up with a solution to my lack of wideband logging. Autometer Nexus's do NOT have an output wire for datalogging/EMS nor does the wideband log to its own software. the Nexus line's whole premise is how it can log data to an SD card but not the wideband so essentially its useless for tuning...

however when at kens this weekend he showed me a product from innovate motorsports. Its essentially a wideband 02 with outputs and logging software so i can just send it onto my AFC and voila! logging for me. Finally, i can tune my car instead of waiting YEARS for Autometer. Had i known this would happen i would never waste the money on Nexus

LC-1? That's what I run from Innovate and it has logging capabilities that work great with megasquirt.

Finally finishing up my turbo swap. My old turbo blew the seals on it, so a new Garrett T3 turbo is in, just need a new oil feed line fitting.

took it to get a quote to fix the sagging rear lip. to remove the lip, the old adhesive, put new adhesive on, an reattach the lip will cost 20-30 bucks and take about an hour. not to shabby

Thanks to boostedprotegelx (Damian) I'm hooked up with a Sparco Torino blk/gray drivers seat; I absolutely love it - it is WORLDS better than the stocker. (2thumbs) Thanks again Damian!
