What have you done to your MSP today?

damn the man

saturday i rehung my exhaust with corksport hangers only to be pulled over at like 3 in the a.m. because of yellow headlights (honestly, they came from the dealer that way), then a citation for my exhaust which is not obnoxiously loud, and I know is legal. I'll see you in court officer.

blew a tire on a freeway on my way home from work.... and since it was on basically a bridge with minimal shoulder, I drove on the next exit, to a gas station right across the street...

lug wrench (I think the lug wrench was 21 mm and my lugs are 19, dunno if it woulda cleared the opening for the lug nuts anyway) doesn't work on the aftermarket wheels the car came with... jogged to home depot (5 blocks through a less than good neighborhood) and picked up a bad 1/2" ratchet and socket set for 40 bucks... Had a group of 3 black guys go "Hey Pimp!" repeatedly both ways (I was dressed business casual for work)

changed the tire... car won't move... I give her some more gas and it moves, grinding the spare tire (which I realize doesn't fit) against the caliper... at this point some black guy walks up with a 40 in hand and tells me I need to jack the car up... there was no wheel on at the time (lol) thanks buddy!

so I grab a cinder block, put that under the front, steal the wheel off the back and slap her on the front... put the spare on the rear, where it grinds, but turns with hand force... so I said **** it, I wasn't about to leave my car in that neighborhood over night and didn't really have any other good options at hand at this point... 45 mins away from my nearest friend. drove home.. by the time I got home the grinding sound was minimal.

so now I picked up a set of 15" winter wheels off of a local member for 200 (2 seasons of use on them).. and changed it again.

did I mention that it was raining through all of this?

omgf, bad day...

^^ haha, damn he must have been bored out of his mind.. and really just wanted to get you for whatever he could find when walking up to your car... those basters, shouldn't be any prob. getting that taken care of, if you can find something in writing to back you up, which shouldn't be too hard.. gl

(damn, ^ you posted before i could get mine up lol, was talking about flaps720's comment)

This definitely backs up my belief that I should get rid of my spare and put another enkie in there.

That or a bottle of fix a flat.

I have posted this in another thread, but i'm going to share it in this thread where i have more friends...

Few shots of my Friends Mazda 323 GT-R and my MSP here in Spain. This GT-R is in so mint condition i was so amazed, as well for the price this friend of mine bought it for.

^^^ that interior is spotless!

He bought that car for 900 Euros.. $ 1,251. i was like,, What. where from who, how.,. I'll get one as well... is so clean and in good condition is not even funny...

we are doing some serious turbo kit for his car. I'm going to get him a bad boy kit for that GT-R

So I just spoke with TurboXS - they pretty much told me all their BOVs are going to leak because there isn't a seal between the piston and the outer case. Kind of makes these useless for cars with MAFs because that means there will always be a little bit of air escaping around the piston causing lower vacuum numbers and stalling (even on a car with a relocated MAF). Looks like I'll be returning my Type H-RFL as soon as I get it unopened and I will be going with a Black HKS because at least they use a diaphragm.

The guy on the phone even tried to assure me the metal-on-metal seal was acceptable because that's how engine pistons are sealed. While that is true there are also things called piston rings in engines...
