What have you done to your MSP today?

Installed a turboXS mbc and some new vacuum lines.
Hopefully i get an afc soon cause with the mbc i havent been able to run lower then 9-10lbs and im not trying to push it this way so i been taking it easy on the car. Anyone have a suggestion to lower the boost? I will have to mess with it again today to try and get it back down to 6-7 psi.

Installed new spark plugs, but they are a level too cold, so I have to order new ones. Put in stock BPV hoses and got my SMIC and radiator back into the stock locations. Two items left in the back-to-stock project. Remove front electric fan and install stock AC fan.

Take off the MBC and you can go back to stock boost. I had the same TurboXS one and I got rid of it because it spiked to much and with my other mods I make about 8 psi anyway.

I had that same problem with my joe p mbc.. It wouldnt go below 9-10. It would hit f.c. in 2nd and 3rd because it would hit 10 lbs.. High rpms in 3rd it would hold 9 as well as 4th and 5th..

Unless there is something wrong with it that should not happen. I use their DSBC and with the first stage backed all the way off my car hits 6.9 everytime. How many turns if any did you go on yours?

I was running i was running 4-5 psi when i bought the car, then 6psi when i took the cat out then it went to about 7. Still had a cel since i bought the car and i finnally cleared it the other day. When i left the shop after clearing the cel i spooled it up and it was alot louder but i didnt look at the gauge. Next day i got into it to see if it was still that loud and when i looked at the gauge i saw 9psi. I went and got the boost controller to try and turn it back down and with it installed my dad drive the car and said it ran 10psi. Im not trying to push it so i have only quickly spooled up and havent gone wot. I gotta mess with it later today to see what i can come up with.
So basically i was running this boost before the mbc so i doubt its a problem with the controller. Plus i plan to run this boost once i get an afc and tuned so im not to worried im just curious why its doing it and what i can do to lower it until then.

Is it possible that your boost gauge is the problem?

I gave that thought but i have had 2 differant gauges in the car. The one that originally came in the car and then one i have had since new in my talon and read normally until what i explained happened in my previous post.

The MBC is for upping the boost. It won't help you lower boost at all. That's what the wastegate does. Maybe that's going bad.

Thats what i really think may be wrong, especially since i got the lean code po171 or whatever it is that i read means the w/g is on its way on. Other then the afc its the next mod im looking into. Which one is the best working aftermarket one?

not today, but on saturday i almost joined the zoomzoom boom club. at the VA dyno day on my first pull it started breaking up baaddd around 5500rpms. luckily the guy running the dyno knew what he was doing and backed off immediately as soon as it jumped. the pinhole leak ive had around my extra injector bung was no longer the size of a pinhole. there was fuel literally dripping off of the stainless steel pipe its welded on. atleast i put down 199whp 229ft/lbs tq with 1700rpms to go (10psi).

blue is my afr, red is 12, top dotted line is 15.

I'm not sure what's the best but I think anyone is better than the stock one. I'm using the ATP one myself. I never had a problem with the stock one, I just changed it out when I had the turbo off the car just to save myself some time later. I think there are only a few choices for the MSP anyway.

DANG! those afrs took a massive jump. Thankfully you were with someone who knew what they were doing. Was that on a dynojet?

i've got a problem! All of my windows won't come up except the driver's window which seems to work fine. If this has happened to you and you know how to fix it please help...I don't have the time to troubleshoot etcc..
thanks

Is the little button on the driver door for the window lock-out pushed in?

nice numbers man. You have the MPI correct? Is this dyno with or without the new turbo manifold?
