Here are some before and after pics.
That does look good. My one friend always points that rust out to me too lol. Everytime I see him which isn't often he asks me if I still have the rust lol.
I'll never get around to painting it though.
nice I have the LC-1 and DB as well. I haven't wired it in, but I have it ready to go this week, I spent last week (well one evening that I had available) wiring in my new boost gauge. Pics when I am finnished, and I'd like to see your DIN mount when done.
question, did you wire the 02 ready LED in or use your alarm LED? I was planning on using the alarm LED or wiring it into the Check engine light.
I didnt wire that wire at all, maybe someday i will when i feel like dicking around with an led. The reason I am doing a DIN mount is because I dont feel like wiring it through the A-pillar once I had taken a look at how tight the space is. I will post pics once completed.
yeah i don't like pillar mounts at all. I like to be somewhat discreet, so I went with a two gauge DIN mount, boost and WBO2. I have the APEXi TT which is small and it is tucked up by the fuel gauge on the stock panel. The LED is so you know when the WBO2 is ready for you to start the car. I was driving a Miata at the autox this weekend that has it wired in and it takes a bit of time to stop flashing. Make sure your not damaging the O2 starting it up to early all the time.
hows that work with the led thing? ive never heard of that, ive never had to do that. youve peaked my curiosity.
ALEJO'S HEADLIGHTS?
just wondering if you r talking about me....
Okay, today I will install a set of NGK ZFR7F plugs on my MSP.
Earlier this year, I bought and installed a Unichip on my MSP. Although it seems to have smoothened out some of the hesitation, I haven't noticed any increase in fuel economy. In fact, I'm getting about 20-40 miles less per tank after installing the Unichip.
Since I'm on my original plugs (64k miles, eek!), I'm going to swap them out for the NGK's. I'm driving to Cleveland this weekend. So what I'm going to do is drive there with the Unichip hooked up and log the gas mileage. Then on Sunday I'll disconnect the Unichip and drive back to Virginia, again logging the gas mileage.
I'm going to carefully note differences in throttle response, pulling power, hesitation/smoothness, and gas mileage then figure out if I want to keep the Unichip or not.
Where was it?i found my boost leak! woo hoo!
