What have you done to your MSP today?

I've never thought that a catalytic converter can decrease so much power in a car, After putting my Hi-Flow Cat on for Inspection, I've notice how drastically the power of my car was affected, i was Spiking 27 psi and holding strong 25 psi, the car was a rocket full of adrenaline, but after installing the Cat, the car wont boost more than 10 psi, no matter what i do, and what settings i put to the EBC, I've lost around 200 HP by just putting these Damn catalytic, it sounds crazy but is a true reality, from boosting 27 psi, to now only 10, is like a day and night difference, is like the Turbo can't breath, it takes forever to spool, right now hits boost at 4.5k Rpm, and without the Cat at 3.9k RPM, i mean the car still pulls hard and spin tires like crazy from 1st through 3rd gear, but what a hell of a difference, also the sound of the exhaust decreased, i like that, now I can have fun with my Wife and Kids and drive around with them in my car, but... as soonest i pass inspection this Cat is going out and is going to rest inside a box. no way I'm going to loose so much power... Sorry babe, sorry son, we'll have to cruise and have fun with our family car....lol lol..

No..I bet a Cat could do that....Serious restriction.

you are saying that is possible to restrict so much ? because is doing it, i can't boost over 10 psi with it, and without it is normal 27 psi spiking and holding 25 psi

I mean ForceFed, i didn't do anything else to the car except for the GTspec bars, rear Fog light and the head lights to euro spec.... the car pulls hard , but won't boost more than 10 psi.. is it a possibility the cat is like backward ? i putted in the direction TBK welded the bung for the sensor, the bung is in the right side of the cat. .. I'll have to check, Probably these suckers welded the bung in the wrong side of the car, and that s*** is backwards...

Welll..it would cause a loss of power....Now the Los of PSI....It could..but Only if your TUrbo is MASSIVE and it just never gets enough time to spool up.
I know you have a big one..but I dont think its big enough to have that problem.

the car feels laggy ass hell, it boost past 4.5k RPM, it takes longer to spool and the car feels like something is holding it to go faster.. i did remove the car and the car runs normal, and boost and spool crazy..

Ok..SO let me get this right..After you put the cat on...and had the problem...You then(now) removed the cat and it runs normal again?

Well, the car was running good before the cat installation, after the install is running how I'm telling you... i didn't change anything and to anything...

have you ever heard or experienced something like these before ?

No..Simple way to find out if its the cat...Change out out again.

If it goes away..then there is your problem.

If its the only thing that was changed...I would look there first.

I knwo a hi flow cat can cause a loss in power but i dont see it causing a loss in psi

Yeah, but the car feels like something is holding it from going and producing more power, plus my turbo is really laggy now, that sucker needs to go over 4.5 K to boost, and feels weak.. it got to be the cat, i bet TBK welded the bung in the wrong side and direction of the cat and that s*** is backwards..

and those wheels would be???

Dare I do it. Yes.....I'm goin' murdered out!

are you sure u dont have a cracked mani or a major boost leak somewhere? when i reinstalled my cat.. i had no issues and it felt the same.. sounds to me like somthing has popped off somewhere causing u to leak.. u should be full boost by 3200
