What have you done to your MSP today?

Last night I finished getting the autocross garb put together.

I changed my transmission fluid to some Red Line MT-90. It wasn't as amazing of a difference as I was expecting, but still way better than before.

Question: I filled it while the car was still raised up on the jack. I know it only takes ~2.83 quarts, but I kept filling because I thought you have to wait for it to trickle out a little and it wasn't trickling out yet. Then I realized that that applies to when the car is level. So I was worried that I put too much in, and I lowered the car to let some fluid out until it was a very thin trickle. Then I jacked the car back up and put on the plug.
Sooo, my question is: is it possible that I let too much out? Shouldn't it be just about perfect if it stops trickling out while the car is level? I just need some reassurance from some fellow MSP people...

I too need to wash my car, been like a month.

Been raining to much so never feel like cleaning it.

i need to do some major tuning. the 626 mani threw my whole s*** off.

its fast but its got the ol dumping fuel hesistation now.

I'll be awaiting your results. What do you use to tune?

I'm worried about that when I get 505's intake mani, I'm sure it will throw a code or at least I think it will. Stock ecu.

Then when I buy the pg ftc unit, I'll have to make a custom map and not be able to use the map that already exists the 14psi map....god damn it the MSP bulls*** never ends. Maybe I'll just buy one and not both, who knows.

im using the afc v2. i would tune it alread however...

i got those nice expensive autometer nexus gauges. and the wideband doesnt log to the software yet. in fact when i got it i couldnt even use the gauge till i got a software update. wtg autometer.

since this is their premier line thats logs to software so it doesnt have the output wire to hook it to the afc's aux input wires so i cant even log it there.

and since i dont have a tuning buddy its almost imposible to tune it. so im kinda waiting it out till the software gets updated then i can log rpm, boost, egt, all in one screen.

but since i step on it and it runs below 10afr's nnow cause of all the airflow i guess or the powerband change it hesitates really bad. so i may have to eyeball it. or pay for a dyno tune, but since i know how to tune somewhat i refuse to do such a thing.

with the afc, can you tune on the fly?

ZOMG banned link!!

What is RDS? My next autox isn't until the 29th. It's been forever since I had to miss the last one.
I ran it by Rush and she said it's not a big deal to post pics with certain vendors vinyl displayed.

RDS means Road Tire D-Stock. We run Road Tire in our region, which is an indexed class kind of like novice. It's so you can run a class that usually runs R-comps (Stock, Street Prepared, Mod, Prep) with street tires. I like it because then I can compete without 1) Buying R-comps or 2) Modding for STX.

Gotcha. Once I finally get around to putting everything back in, I'll hopefully be able to data log everything from a single point -> SS-AFC. Sorry, have to brag, but I love not having to buy a wideband gauge to read wideband signal. I have a quarter sized box from PLX that converts WB02 to NB02, so any NB gauge can show me WB signal. Unfortunately for everyone, they don't make it anymore.

I have the same box but you still have to have the WB sensor and that is where most of the cost is. The price almost evens out when you add up the WB sensor, the wideband converter, and the NB gauge.

True, if you only buy the WB02 gauge out of the box like AEM or Autometer, and then you're stuck with that gauge. I have a Zeitronix WB02, which is very versatile with it's input, output, and logging capabilities. The box lets you run any gauge you want, which is a very nice feature to have.
